Minor rule modification (was kind of implied before - I just forgot to make it clear):
Reservations will be cleared 18 days after the request was made or if you ask for it to be cleared if you're considered a "new transcriber," 33 days if you're considered an "old transcriber," since this'd be when the transcripts would pay nothing after the decaying payment effect. You cannot re-reserve an episode you previously reserved.

^Affects any reservation made after this post, but none before (though re-reservations of old reservations ARE affected). Previously, you could re-reserve episodes without penalty, theoretically allowing someone to game the rules since the decaying payment mechanism doesn't go into effect until a reservation is made (where a re-reservation would implicitly restart that timer and thus permit someone to have an episode reserved for 10 billion years and not suffer reduced payout).

Yes, keeping in mind the decaying payment mechanism:
"from the time you reserve an episode, you have only 72 hours to finish and submit the transcript until .005BTC will be deducted from the amount to be paid at the start of each 24h cycle thereafter."

Hey, all. I'm going to be a bit slow in replying to PMs for a bit. We think we're going to transition the project on August 1, 2014. After that point, outside grammar/style/etc rules, pretty much everything's changing except the basic idea of how we operate.

I can finally firmly state the project will NOT be killed off when we catch up, but we really need to catch up before August 1st so we can get these posted and focus on getting to the next iteration of this project. There's going to be a lot of change in how we do things, from payments to formatting. For example, we're probably going to switch from Scribd to inkpad.io which has a unique markup/formatting scheme. Transcripts will be automatically embedded into LTB episode pages as soon as they're marked "done" (proofread) on our side. Payments will switch to a partial upfront, partial donation model, with pay in both LTBcoin and BTC. We're also going to be transcribing all episodes on the LTB network, not just Let's Talk Bitcoin. The over-arching theme is that we're still going to be very independent, but also be sort of alpha testers and get what we need and want to do our jobs most effectively, while also being able to effortlessly integrate into the LTB network and move from a bounty model to a more donation-oriented model.

It's a lot to organize and hammer out, still. Nothing's final.

Old transcriber returning after a long break! (I've finished my degree - went excellently, thank you - and looking for a menial job to make use of my now-copious spare time till my postgrad degree begins!)
