From $5.5 to $5.15 in a matter of minutes ... LOL.

So much for stability.

The bull's eye was winking on Bitcoinica, the price had stalled on MtGox.  Eye is still winking, so we'll see how MtGox bounces back without Bitcoinica's leverage.

Agreed, and if not tomorrow than soon. I was laughing when I saw this sell off begin.

I'd like to thank whoever just sold. Gave me a chance to buy a few more coins at low prices.

I sold.  It could still go higher, but I'm not betting on it.
My next target: a retrace approaching 4.5  But that could be 10 days out.

This rally came a bit quicker than I expected.

And it will go higher.

Wasn't the rally announced by our hero member ineededausername?

Wow.  Big dump is big.  That was over 20,000BTC.  I guess somebody had to throw a wet blanket on this thing.  It was getting a bit out of control.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

i didn't sell, but would be selling a few if i didn't have my coins a bit tied up.

for me, it's not hard to imagine being able to buy for at least as low as $4.00 again if you're patient... maybe feb/march even.

Someone sold in a hurry.  I guess if they planned a pump and dump they had to exit while the exiting was good.  Well executed.

I wouldn't sell yet, there will be plenty of dumpers on the way up.  Can't get nervous every time someone gets out. Don't be a wuss.

Someone just sold again, but the price and depth have already recovered.  This rally is too strong for any one sell to kill it.

Who just sold? The guy that's now crying. The price is recovering faster from a massive 20k BTC selloff than you can scream "BUY BUY BUY!", taking down a sell wall on the way up.  Grin
