The company I buy my BTC through here in the UK operates an affiliate scheme which pays 1% of the BTC price when anyone buys BTC by clicking on my link. Would I be allowed to put that as my signature?

Also how much roughly can people expect to earn by using the companies/websites you mention in their signature?
Yes, you can put your affiliate link in your signature, no problems.

Currently as a full member I get 0.0005BTC per constructive post I make on the RitzGrandCasino deal. Members only get 0.0003BTC per post, so if you signed up you'd earn a bit less.
Here's the list of all the deals again so you can check for yourself: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333916.0

It definitely is. If you're earning bitcoins rather than investing your own money into it it's a lot better than faucets and earn sites ( exceptions might be freelance working ) and 50 posts per month ( which most campaigns require ) is a very easy minimum to reach.

So who decides what is a 'constructive post'? Or more to the point, what would be considered an unconstructive post?

Non-constructive posts are generally posts saying "+1" "(insert single image here)" "I agree!" "Good post" "Bump" + trolling / flaming.
Constructive just means it's posts that contribute to the thread you're posting in. It's not complicated, just don't spam. Smiley

Is there a minimum or maximum number of posts per month which you need to make?
It all depends on the signature campaign, they all have their specific rules. Most campaigns require you to post 50 times per month otherwise they won't pay you, and most have a cap at around 2500~ posts per month ( which is impossible to reach without spamming anyways ). Check the Service section of the forum for the different campaigns. Smiley

From what I've understood, in every 2 week-period you post in you'll get 14 activity.
Which means higher post count =/= higher activity.
As long as you post once per 2 week period, you get 14 activity.

Good advice given in this thread.  Take a look at the service section of the forum.  Also if your wondering what a constructive post is take a look at the posts of those who posted in this thread with advertisements in the bottom of the posts(signature).  You may want to take a look for sites that offer an affiliate program so if you direct someone else there you will be paid.  May an exchange or just some service that uses Bitcoins.  Good luck.

I presume these 'Thanks again' &  'No problem posts' don't count as constructive posts?  Grin

Could I have one of the sites mentioned above AND my affiliate URL in my signature or are you restricted to one?

Meh, they're part of the conversation and relevant to the topic we're discussing. Altho perhaps some campaigns would deduct them from your total. Depends on how harsh they are.

Some signature campaigns let you include other things in your signature as well, others tell you strictly that you can only have their advertisement in your signature, not even personal links like your bitcoin address or a quote.
