As a Greek, I am proud that there are two important Greek dudes in the Bitcoin community.
One is of course Con Kolivas, the creator of cgminer.

The other, is Andreas Antonopoulos of Bitcoin foundation,
and now author of the definitive book from O'Reilly media.

The book is now available
http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920032281.do

I didn't expect a more appropriate cover picked by O'Reilly than an "worker" Ant  Grin
My Antminers would be proud  Grin

A good read, and also an addition for the future vintage bookshelf for our grandkids.
- When I was your age, I had to carry a server rack on my back for 5 miles to get a broadband connection!
- Woah, was it that bad, grandpa?

To be honest, I was expecting O'Reilly to accept bitcoin for this one, but hey, its never too late  Wink
Enjoy

Mastering Bitcoin tells you everything you need to know about joining one of the most exciting revolutions since the invention of the web: digital money. Bitcoin is the first successful digital currency. It's instant, global, frictionless and it is changing money forever. Bitcoin is still in its infancy, and yet it has already spawned an economy valued at nearly $2 billion that is growing exponentially. Established companies like PayPal are considering adding bitcoin as a payment method, and investors are funding a flurry of new startups aiming to stake claims in a new industry that may rival the Internet in terms of scale and impact on daily life.

If you're interested in learning more about the technical operation of bitcoin, or if you're building the next great bitcoin killerapp or business, you will find this book essential reading. From the basic use of a bitcoin wallet to buy a cup of coffee, to running a bitcoin marketplace with hundreds of thousands of transactions, or collaboratively building new financial innovations that will transform our understanding of currency and credit, this book will help you engineer money. You're about to unlock the API to a new economy. This book is your key.

and just now I have de ja vu.

This is a good sign Smiley as I am sure I was posting this before! Cheesy
This means bitcoin days are still to come! Cheesy Those days this is only early stage! Cheesy

ahhh.. yes. I just spent 10 € for the ebook on O'Reilly (using WCYAZ as bargain code), and realized it only contains the first four chapters.

Now I have to waste my time to find out if I have just been cheated or if this purchase also includes the WHOLE book once it is published in full.

I have indeed considered this possibility, and looked for any such disclaimer on the website, but could not find any.

I can not say to be a happy oreilly customer. Cautiously stated.

Does anybody have any details on this questionable marketing technique?
