So, I am working on this android app.
It should fetch a coins latest price in btc, tell you the best exchange, and then let you do the math with how many coins you have to see your value in btc and USD.

Looking for testers at the moment before I launch the multi coin version.

Things I  need to know: does the copy/donation button work.
Does it perform the math  right on your device.
Does it crash when you hit back button.
Does it crash when you hit home button.

Input is welcome.

First 5 replies with a screenshot of it running and your btc address gets .002 btc/ea

Just tried it out now.

Splash screen is a bit weirdly sized on my device... sort of squashed at loadup.

Calculations seem correct, although it crashed after shutting down and trying to restart it.
I'm not sure what that little arrow thingy on the right is supposed to do (assume refresh prices)? It should state it's doing something.

And not sure if the tap to go to website button works correctly, unless you meant for it to go direct to the play store.

Thanks.

Just tried it on my cellphone (Running Android 4.2.2)
1. Copy Button works flawlesly (I got this address  DPxq3HZvjTKtNterYwuBp5wuqeHcWchdpL)
2. It's showing prices correctly
3. App was closed when I hit back button (when I tried to open it again it keeps showing me black screen and i got "app isn't responding error")
4. Same as 3

The tap to go to website button has been addressed in a newer build. That used to go to my site, now, however, its an upgrade button, I just hadn't fully updated it at the time I uploaded this version of the package.

The paid version of the app will have a menu of various coins to choose from, which is the version you get from clicking that button.

The crash on close has also been fixed on most devices. From what I gather, its from this- I started working it to have a method to save the price data, which is about 2kb, with a time stamp to your phone. That way if you accidentally close it, and reopen, you could re-use the data or choose to hit refresh, depending on if the data were over 5 mins old. The problem is, its looking to save to your SD card

In essence, if your phone is plugged into a computer, often times the PC mounts the SD card to itself, and the SD card is no longer available to apps during this time. This may have caused the crash in your scenario. Also, if you have a newer phone that has no external storage, you would experience the same thing. I am working on a fix for this.

As for the splash screen sizing, I have to re-size in the other graphic folders; right now I am using one splash resource for all the builds, which is not how its supposed to be done.

Anyway, my wallet is booting. I will pay you in just a second. Thanks again for the feedback.

Note- the arrow thing is indeed a refresh button.

escrow.ms-- thank you for posting your android version.

I was testing this on nexus 7 2013. (4.4.2 android)

1. Copy Button works ok.
2. Price is ok
3. Back button closes app.
4. Home button goes out of app, but when I start app again sometimes it shows black screen for a short amount of time and then shows app main screen, but sometimes it opens quick, so you should fix this.
And also my splash screen is not the right size for my device.

1. The copy button didn't work for me.
2. Shows the prices
3. App closes flawlessly back I hit the back button.
4. Closes just like 3.

Thanks, I see the btc on its way now.

A couple of suggestions --

Perhaps put the paid version info in a horizontal line, sort of near the ad, rather than vertically as it is now. Right now it's taking up an inordinate amount of space in the app, with a lot of it being wasted space.

You don't really need the dollar image or the tiny, tiny screenshot of the full version, as it's sort of too small to read anyway.

Push the refresh button up so it's on the same level as the input box. When refreshing, have text beneath it pop up, stating so. As if the price doesn't change when refreshing, the user doesn't even know if it did anything.

Put a 'clear' button in beneath the input box, so the user can easily clear the data entered if he/she so wishes.
