The Bitcoin Phenomenon

- Peter Vessenes of Bitcoin Foundation/Coinlab
- Bennett Hoffman of Buttercoin
- Angela Keaton of Antiwar.com

The primary storyline looks to show the difference in perspective between the libertarians/early-adopters and VCs/entrepreneurs looking to take Bitcoin mainstream. "There is clash of ideology and ideals" as noted by Jeremy Liew. Erik Voorhees offers a steadfast position. The central question asked is does Bitcoin need to shed its politics in order to pursue mainstream adoption.

We also have full-length interviews with all of the subjects above as bonus footage.

Gavin recently stepped down from his position and the new lead developer Wladimir van der Laan is not part of this documentary? After Gavin, Wladimir was the most active member of the development team. Does he appear in the film?

it takes time to film a movie and then publish it after editing it.

and to the people that are slamming vessenes and liew, i think you need to reality check why they are saying what they are saying.

FIAT is a government owned product. you can't avoid FIAT regulations legally. so exchanges touching fiat DO need regulating. (i am not talking about pure bitcoin transactions, only FIAT related transactions)

Felt like I watched some pro regulation propaganda to be honest not much in the ways of arguments as to why regulation may be a bad thing.

Well made and interesting but very pro regulation. From the storyline given I thought we would see more of both sides of the coin.

I don't think it's propaganda, but any intelligent person knows for it to become a legit currency where you can actually spend it on shit there's gonna be some 'regulation' and taxation. It's not a bad thing, but like one of the interviewees said, they can't touch the actual protocol so i don't see why it really matters much.
