The news about Gox was splashed in all the available media outlets. That is definitely causing this huge drop. That b****d Mark Karpeles will forever rot in hell.  Angry

Well, it really showed the fact that banks and the federal reserve, no matter what your opinions are about them, are more trustworthy then any bitcoin exchange/banking business.

More then doubtful. Minor banks are the same as bitcoin exchanges riskwise.

Uh, no. The difference is that the nature of bitcoin doesn't allow criminals to get away with their criminal activities.

Look inside yourself, and you will see that you are the bubble.

April 15/16th should end China's endless FUD.  I say should because China has some how banned bitcoin 100 times already so clearly their ability to spread FUD is pretty darn good.

Recent events will heavily influence Bitcoin for a few more years down the line (U.S Senate, closure of Gox, etc). I'd buy now and hold on until some good press comes out.

BA Computer Science, University of Oxford
Dissertation was about threat modelling on distributed ledgers.

I remember when MtGox site went down for no reason, from 600 to 400, then to 600 again in few hours. We need some time to see if this drop is temporary or definitive
