I have reworked the "Bitcoin mine or invest" sheet orginaly created by SgtSpike.

And i have created a spreadsheet comparing some examples of current mining technology:

GPU's,FPGA boards,and other technologies.

Use

The Column A contains a description of the input data wich is to be entered into the cell on the right of it (within column B).
Likewise the output data is described and given in E and F.There an input by the user is not intended.


Please report any bugs you might encounter and give new ideas and wishes what you would like to see.
Especially the comparison sheet will be expanded in the future.

If you are a producer of mining equipment you would like to see listed. Please PM me with the data so i may add your setup.

Would be interesting, but I'll be damned if I'm putting in the info to download it.

You might consider hosting it on a not crappy file hosting site if you want better uptake.  Sounds interesting, though.  Let me know if it's available elsewhere.  (I suggest maybe using a public Dropbox share or if you must use a filehosting site, Megauplaod)

Thanks!  I think the sheet is kind of broken though.  The data column, which appears to be the column to the left of the "example" column, doesn't do much of anything.  Looking at the formulas, it seems the "example" column is suppose to be the actual data entry column, which is kind of confusing. 

It also appears to break with 0 values in B6, B9, and B10.

I asume you refer to the bitcoin mine or invest sheet ?

Wich column do you refer to as "example column" please C ?

One of the values in B6 , B9 and B10 has to be non zero.
Basically the entire B column ecept the "checkvalues" box at the bottom contains values to be changed/entered by the user.

Im not shure if i clearifyed the issue.
Please ask again if not.

Yes, column C appears (to me at least) to be the data entry column and column B appears to be an example column.

For my calculation, B6, 9 and 10 are 0, as my costs are 0 for the items in question (they are already paid for and wattage for components is already figured into the wattage of the cards - I take my readings with a Kill-A-Watt meter for the whole system - much more accurate than figuring theoretical draw of an individual card + components).

I changed the files on the dropbox repository.
The column to enter your data is B alone. So the yellow and green panels in theat column.
(except that "out of order" one actually
In the A column each cell describes wich data should be entered in the cell to the right of it.
The 0's in your B parts should now do it

The checkvalues are not to be changed by you if you mean that.
They are a way without using macros for the output cells like expected profit  and so on,
to display error and information messages in case the calculations eg run beyond the maximum timeframe (1096days)
Eg G20 and G29 use these values.
