I have been trying to mine, but I don't know how. Help please.

What kind of equipment do you have or plan to get? ASIC? GPU? CPU?
What kind of coins do you want to mine? Bitcoin? scrypt? others?

what are you trying to mine?

don't mine bitcoin, it's not worth it

choose the alt-coin you want to mine, download the miner

after you get enough coins, trade them for bitcoin Wink

bfgminer would be working too I guess. But depending on the coin you will also need specialised hardware to seriously mine.

Don't waste your time. You won't make squat. Just invest in BTC and wait for the long term gains that it will have.
