Hi, I am looking to buy 0.5 bitcoins with paypal, I have read about people not willing to sell through paypal due to charge backs and the such. So I will gift the money to trusted users/sellers. I can also provide personal documents to prove my legitimacy, again to trusted users/sellers. Thanks guys.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Hey, I noticed that you also sent me a PM:

Hey man, I know this sounds crazy but I was looking for a trusted member that was online, I basically need someone to buy me bitcoins as I simply don't have a clue and all I have is credit card/paypal. So I was wondering if I was to paypal you money for bitcoins could you get them for me ill throw 20 bucks in it for you. Thanks.

Now, it's ok that you sent me a PM, np.

But you should know that PayPal shall never be used with bitcoin transactions. Nothing personal, but most "paypal for bitcoin transactions" ends up with charge-backs after months of the transaction. A bitcoin seller just cannot trust people using PayPal and therefor I recommend you to search for a different payment method.

Your likely to get scammed sending as a gift- We just had a user do multiple scams for 30 bucks. Your a huge target for half a coin
Sellers have to watch out for chargebacks. Now buyers have to watch out for un-trusted, newbie coin sellers giving you a "deal" if you send as gift.
They will all act as your best friend and buddy, respond to you asap and be there for you, up until the last minute they disappear.
You will try and do a chargeback/dispute and before you can login to your paypal account your money has been washed through 5 other stolen accounts and on its way to Nigeria with no recourse
