Hi,

So I got myself a new ssd and I moved my wallet. Installed the qt, copied the blockchain and installed latest armory 64 bits for ubuntu. I copied all the wallets from my old encrypted drive from .armory.

Armory stated that one of the wallet was corrupted, and asked for my passphrase to unlock it. To my surprise the passphrase no longer works. I tried to create new backups of the other wallets I got inside armory. None of my passphrases unlocks the wallets. And I'm positive that they are correct.

Even though all my btc are stored in armory, I'm not panicing. I've got paper backups of all the wallets, which I understand they save the private keys without any passphrase, right?

I would like to know if this is common when copying the wallet from one armory instance to another one. Do I need to copy some sort of hashfile in order for my passphrases to work?

Thanks

This shouldn't happen. Your backups protect your keys so no need to panic. Submit a ticket linking to this thread, we'll get you through this.

Just to check it's not a problem with the wallet fix button... can you cancel fixing the wallet, and then simply double-click on the wallet and create a paper backup?  It will ask you for your password and then pop up the print window.  You don't have to print it, just see if it takes your passphrase, there.

Issue has being resolved. The support with the ticket was very helpful and was investigating every aspect that could have gone wrong.

It looks like I confused the password from wallet a for the pass of wallet b, even though I thought I had tried them all before starting this thread I must have made a typo the first time and assumed it was not working. I feel so dumb now. I'm sorry for making you loose time on this.

Thanks for helping!
