Hey folks,

You might remember me, I'm Jon. I used to be in charge of player relations and marketing at BTC On Tilt. I am in no way related to B-O-T anymore. About two weeks ago players started contacting me about not being able to withdrawal and about a week ago the entire website went down. Now it's suddenly back up?

I'd like to get an update here. I'll share what I know and you guys can share what you know.

Things I can confirm:

The email address Support@BTCOnTilt.com is giving me a weird error when I try to log in. So that's probably why the admin is not responding to emails.
I haven't seen the admin online on Skype in a good two weeks.
Last time we talked was almost a month ago.
They admins paid way more than $5000 for the poker software they upgraded to. (So it doesn't really make sense for them to run away.)

I'm not able to contact the admin at the site, I've tried calling, no answer.

When is the last time anyone got a withdrawal?

Also, if this situation doesn't fix itself, I think I'm legally allowed to release some dox on the admin.

I've tried email, IM, and calling and no dice.  Still waiting on my withdrawal from the week before Christmas...

Extreme lameness.  Unfortunately a developer scammed me out of 200 btc to make a new btc poker site a few months ago and have not been able to fill the void.  I can recommend Strike Sapphire for non US players.

My balance was reset to 0 when the site was upgraded or something. That's incredibly scammy behaviour and people should avoid them at all costs.

I agree - they should be labeled as scammers in the forums.  This behavior is unacceptable.

Something about this just sounds all kinds of wrong.

Did BTCOnTilt get popped by the US gov't or something, and we just don't know about it yet?

Without communication to the contrary I think they are borderline scammers at this point.

What I haven't seen anybody mention is that the cashgames were also full of bots that were really, really easy to exploit. I made about 40btc off them in two hours, and after that I made a withdrawal just to see if the site is legit. I got the btc's too. (this was in november, I think).

Fri 27 Jan 2012 11:59:32 PM GMT    Withdraw    Bitcoin withdraw to 1CuKRKVaBvutVsXD2RyvGM2x3fqJSBVBjQ    5.00000000 BTC

I sent these coins into btcontilt.com   and I have never received them.  They will not respond to my contacts.  I literally cannot believe this is what it has come to after having a full page advertisement in a major poker magazine, BLUFF, just this month.

Someone please help!  What do I do?

my withdrawal was completed, but I waited more than 10 days,
I sent maybe 2 e-mails in that period to the support.
on the day of transaction being made, I got an e-mail also, assuring me if anything
was wrong with my withdraw, that it will be done personally by the "Richard" himself

It was a small amount 1.11 btc

I just think that both sides are in "shock"
he needs us, and we want his service,

but both sides are not capable of unconditional behavior...
and on top of that,
they have no respect or understanding of peoples comfort level

They can be in shock but i for one think that a honest pokersite does not use/run/accept any kind of bots.
Specially when you also put them in rooms with paying people.
But that is my idea.

They got some nice looking software (bit tough on the pc) and that way they can get away with a lot.

A lot of poker players hate bots, obviously. But if they're labeled as bots, and they're only on tables where you know there will be a bot, then whether it's a house bot or a player bot I don't see why it's unethical. We don't ban bots as long as they're labeled "bot" and stay on bot-friendly tables, and we keep a couple of them around in case people just want to practice. Players can choose if they want to play them or not.
