I don't see why timezones would have any implication on BTC aside from the fact that certain people in certain countries will be asleep at certain trading times. But it shouldn't affect the system as a whole.

Bitcoin functions using Unix Time, which is unaffected by timezone differences.

This means whether you're in the UK, China, or the US, Bitcoin will still function correctly.
