Chrome is the only browser I will ever use. Maybe Safari too.

Chrome is apparently faster in some areas (javascript for example), and slower in others (page loads for example). Regarding ease of use, from my experience both ff and opera are also very user friendly, unless you have a very specific usage in mind. And of course you can change themes in the other browsers as well (at least ff and opera).

EDIT:

Lynx ftw. Grin

I use Firefox mostly, sometimes with Tor, and occasionally Chrome and even Opera too. I use an older version of IE to see if pages look correct on it, and also when I want to grab something from the cache but don't want to sift through my entire cache folder on Firefox.

I also knew a computer science professor who preferred to use IE. That was a bit unexpected. Then again, I haven't used the latest versions of IE either and I've heard that the newer releases have improved quite a lot since the XP days.

Browsershots.org is useful for this kind of stuff.

There are programs out there which are helpful for this. Ever since Firefox started breaking up and distributing the cache files into hundreds of folders, I've been using VideoCacheView.

One thing that has improved quite a bit since then is standards compliance.

That depends , chrome is best for average person. but there are few browsers out there which can be used to do a lot more that chrome can't provide.

Seems Chrome is having problems with uTorrent again, calling it malicious and harmful software. I sympathize: there are better BitTorrent clients out there. Grin

Firefox and Tor are my favorites. As tor is built around firefox and I THINK firefox is the most secure. But I do miss the speed from chrome.
