Have you guys seen this?... I'm just 15 minutes in and blown away by production and its content. This is perfect material for sharing with people completely new to Bitcoin. There is also plenty on info that hardcore Bitcoin enthusiasts will be happy to hear. https://www.sq1.tv/bitcoinBitcoin The Bitcoin Phenomenon (35 min) SQ1.tv explores the Bitcoin phenomenon in-depth in this documentary. We cover the history, the technology, and the clash between the politics of early-adopters and the VCs and entrepreneurs gearing up to take Bitcoin mainstream. Will the establishment interests of Wall Street and Silicon Valley be able to neutralize the radical politics of this movement?

The first few minutes made BTC look bad, IMO. Like this: "I ask people whats more important, money or e-mail. They say money. Well there you go, Bitcoin is bigger than E-mail" This kind of logic makes me cringe.. I'm a huge supporter of BTC, and I would really hope to not have to listen to that guy ever again. I wanted to punch him.
Also, don't start going into "Who is Satoshi.. well nobody really knows who he is"... that's an overly in-depth analysis of something the newbie shouldn't have to be smothered with. It doesn't matter who Satoshi is, that's the beauty of decentralization.
I turned it off after a few minutes and face palmed.
I would never show this to my friends/family.. it would give them more reasons to be skeptical.
I'm afraid even the hardcore enthusiasts completely miss the point of Bitcoin. Kind of depressing.

Andreas should have been interviewed to have a completely opposite opinion of government regulation since he is such a large proponent of self regulation within the community

I must agree that this documentary isn't perfect ... There are some things told in a way that I will never speak about bitcoin.
I listen to it to the end but it was quite boring. Anyway I respect a time spent on making this video. Regards.

Just because I don't like this video doesn't mean I need to dig up alternative ones. The "well why don't you show something better" comment is the oldest piece of trash excuse you could use, and doesn't work here. Go away.

Something's not adding up here. It's been 24 hours since this thread was created and only 17 posts total have commented on it. Not even a year ago, this thread would have been several pages long - and counting.

'Can you show me something better to show my friends' is not an excuse is it? It's a question. It's putting you on the spot to not just be a critic but be a problem solver. Anyone can say they don't like something, and not give substantive reasons why or propose an alternative. It's very easy to do that and also very lazy too. (You don't need to do any work like you say) Well if you have enough impetus to decry something that is trying to do good and inform people and you think it does a bad job maybe you could do better or do a bit of work to find something better? No, you can't be bothered. Actually putting yourself above the parapet and saying 'this is good, and for these reasons' is what we need in Bitcoin-Land not just people like you saying 'this is shit'. Where does that get us?

You are 100% wrong, it is one of the first questions people ask. 'Who invented it'? It's a very obvious question and in a 30min Vid there is more than enough time to cover it. You didn't even watch past 5mins! How can you say this is shit? Bad attitude dude.
