Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

can anyone tell me, if i have 40k wc, how many POS i will have after 1 week? thank Cry

15 WC after 1 week, so almost nothing.. As I see it, PoS is not worth, only increasing value in satoshis is.

Interesting to see how the price manipulation goes by putting those 20, 30, 40 WC buy orders for nothing.

I'm not staking. I don't have my wallet encrypted on my computer and I've had coins in this wallet for weeks now. I would think that some of my coins age would be enough to get some PoS credit. Do I have to do something other than have wallet version 1.0.1.0 open and running and not encrypted?

POS just started today. Here are the instructions for unlocking your wallet for staking. Whether it is encrypted or not has no affect on staking.

To start Staking whilst retaining the security of your wallet, go Help>Debug Window. Now select the Console tab. Type the following at the bottom: walletpassphrase YourPassphrase 9999999 true
Replace the YourPassphrase with your own passphrase. (the encryption password you added earlier on) The 9999999 relates to the amount of seconds that you wish to leave the wallet open for staking. Once you have added this hit Enter.

You are now staking. The more coins you have the faster you should see coins staking.

they are not the only ones that are still holding bags full of WC

and the dev of hascows has the habit of holding coins to sell them at best time even one or two days later. I know it I mined at their pool before.
