It's probably the same terms as all the previous games: copying the game disc or trying to remove the disc binding is not allowed. These are not very complicated contracts we're talking about here.

Or you could buy the console versions, as what you can do with them tends to be very consistent.

If/when the terms of the contracts get more complicated I'd hope they would indeed be clearly stated up front. If they aren't that's a problem with the companies website rather than DRM, so complain to the relevant people and maybe it'll be fixed.

"Probably"? There are no "two consenting parties" when one side has the contract and the other side guesses what the contract contains.

I'd like to buy a few low priced shares in this idea (I'm looking at 0.1BTC or 0.35BTC a piece) as I wish to profit from this innovative idea.Of course it won't stop piracy, but I feel that it respects my civil liberties as I don't have to go to tech support after the max no of installs has been reached and you can just fund it to just install.Quick, simple and respects my civil rights (the way I see it anyway). :-)

No invasive DRM like Starforce or stupid scorpions (Serious Sam 3) that kill you that are immortal.I like this system.I wish to incorporate this into my films so I can start a rental system instead of just letting people buy them outright.(Deters copyright thieves from pirating my films without stupid crap like snooping on users,or crippling users systems or anything like HDCP-however I'd be open to the idea that people pay more for higher quality versions of my films in addition to the basic rental fee.)

How can I incorporate this into media files. If not possible, can I invest in this idea? :-)

The short answer is "no."

I am so tempted to just post a donation address. Depending on how many "shares" you buy from me, I could send you a postcard, letter, or feasibility study explaining why it won't work.

To start, carefully read the posts numbered 35 and 37. Both posters seem to know of what they speak. I am not just saying that because they agree with me. My own post was more of a rant that didn't explain anything.
