PoS + multipool isn't a solution to ever increasing price, as many naive people seem to believe. There are no cheats in the free market. This naivete is sort of like believing that the Martingale strategy guarantees gambling winnings.

~50% of the coins are held in the top 100 wallets, which obviously corresponds to <100 people behind them. When a handful decide to cash out, it'll trigger a cascade. After all, like all other altcoins, you can't actually do anything with BC except trade it for BTC so there's no reason to hold on to them in a declining market. I sincerely wish you all best of luck when the game of hot potato starts -- this is where the fun of altcoin-land truly lies. Wink

If any alt manages to amount to anything, it'll be a niche market like financial instruments or true anonymity.

Way too many coins and unknown variables to make any guess.

Personally i invest all my BTC in 4-5 old or solid coins. Like FTC / Doge / LTC / BTC

Too many overpriced shitcoins as of now.

I do not trust X11 or price hyped coins like AUR / BC

....solid coins......Doge........FAIL

It has been discussed all over the place that there is a cadre of blackcoin holders who are attempting to manipulate the price by agreeing not to sell below a certain price and keeping in contact with each other to maintain high, rising prices. That's probably illegal and in any event it can't last long term, some of them are going to get greedy and try to dump their stash while the dumping is good rather than risk being the last bagholder.

Not saying the coin itself is bad but it really isn't all that amazing compared to a dozen other altcoins with reasonably promising features.

Why is whitecoin more fair? Did they copy the fair part of the BC code only?

Far as I can tell, it's a blackcoin clone with numbers changed and a premine tacked on...

I guess we should define what we mean by success/failure. To me doge is a failure at the moment because the community is shrinking and the value has been dropping for several months now. To me a coin has to have a stable or increasing value in order to be considered a "success."

Blackcoin has been rising in value but it seems unlikely that this can be maintained. It's still too new to call it a definite success or failure yet.
