Hi there.  I'm fascinated by bit coin, and also this forum.  Where can I learn about what all the cute coin symbols and users types mean?

I was really wondering about the coin symbols that appear on the user profiles and the various titles...obv they denote some sort of ranking, but are these explained anywhere?

I have actually wondered about this myself.  As I posted and spent time here I just magically got more of them so I expect they are based on your number of posts and how much time you have spent.

My next level will be "Hero Member" but I don't know what it takes to get there.  Not worried though - it will eventually happen Smiley

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

i assume that would be 500  Roll Eyes

the coin icons would simply be a visual indication of aforementioned rank

Hi,

Welcome! The best place I have found to learn about BitCoin is the Wiki at http://www.bitcoin.org. It is worth taking time to read and decide what you would like to acheive with BitCoin. The forum members here are also extremly helpful especially the mining section of the forum if you where planning on that sort of thing.
