Is everyone thinking a single booth at CES for bit-pay will have an effect on the Bitcoin price? Am I missing something here? 

I think people are hoping that reporters are going to write bitcoin stories after learning about BTC at CES and it will be a mass awareness event driver.

I have too such feeling that who that specially keeps the prices. I Think, today we see "not speculative" trade: those who wanted to buy - have already bought, those who wanted to fix profit - have sold. It is completely not usual day for me...

This has been the pattern, you can see this on the  10-day 15 minute chart.

If the trend holds we should steadily march up, with a break-out possible any time. 

CES and aforementioned financial news only add to a potential upward momentum.

That is very interesting... In the bottom picture it would appear we are in the infant stages of a long term impulse rally. One can really draw the lines from the moving average quite easily.

Also interesting on the graph is if you look at the bubble on the way up there was a period identical to what we can see going on right now. Long term we are definitely bullish.

The difference between $8 and $9 is 15k BTC too so that could all happen very quickly. Just like the rise to 7.

you see that 20K wall at 7.20 it will get pushed back all the way up to 10$
