Based on VOLUME of trading and USD Value of COIN

BTC is clearly #1

based on same criteria who is:

#2
#3
#4
#5

(not YOUR PERSONAL FAVORITE or who has most POTENTIAL -- but who TODAY has the trade volume and $ equivalent)

Thanks!

NXT - or one of it's descendants.
Vertcoin
Blackcoin
Litecoin
Bitcoin

Seriously, PoS is where it's at. PoS and utility ie. fast transactions. And fairness or democratisation ie. ASIC Proof.

Yet, I don't  think the ultimate coin has been developed yet.

Fast transactions is kinda not really a selling point anymore. If it were Fastcoin would be pretty popular considering 8 second blocks. Many sites only need 1 confirm, or even zero confirms. The difficulty of the network allows for great security.

With each new coin launch, exploiters gets another testing ground. How many coins have been 51%ed or DoSed on launch? Not waiting for confirmations is not security, it's a huge liability. Hence my second criteria: Democratisation... or perhaps better put - better decentralisation.

BUt with bitcoin, its a different situation. Its been out 5 years, and has the hardest difficulty, so its not a launch coin. I believe reading there has only been one confirmed event of double spending, but thats about it.

I am convinced that Peercoin (PPC) will be one of the stable top-5 cryptocoins. It could outperform even Litecoin, as Litecoin's advantages over BTC are minimal, but PPC solves a major problem of BTC, has a talented leading dev and a very reasonable coin supply/inflation model (lower inflation than BTC now, but no fixed cap).

Remember, PPC is also Blackcoin's grandfather.

Definitely, we worked super hard on the site. I'd appreciate any feedback you'd give on on our official thread, and when you do you get awarded some of Coins Source's official Sourcecoins.
