Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong?  I have been mining for days with no payout and I'm not sure if I should keep waiting or if something is set up incorrectly.

I'm mining Vertcoin on P2Pool using Cudaminer on my EVGA 780Ti.

I chose this P2Pool host because of the statistics it looks like I can see on the status page, and they are updated in real time without refreshing.

I've been mining for days, and cudaminer reports "accepted" and the status on the P2Pool page shows a similar khps as my cudaminer.  But the status is always "No Shares Yet" ... there is a column for "Time to Share" but it is in no ways consistent... at 10 pm last night it says ~6 hours.  Now it says ~16 hours.  At some point the day before it had said ~9 hours.

I'm using the following script.  I am using the latest cudaminer... NOT the "modified" one from the Vertcoin website.  Could that be my problem?  I figured it was working fine since my hash shows up on the status page.  The modified client crashes no matter what I do.

cudaminer.exe --algo=scrypt:2048 -m1 -d GTX780Ti -b32768 -C2 -lt15x32 -i 0 -H 2 -o stratum+tcp://54.193.29.65:9171 -u VagH32wcMsjzPymjRiJPASE1xgE7bZDvqp -p password

At my hash rate of around 250 khps at scrypt:2048, would I have better luck mining something like litecoin?

Thanks for any advice.

By the way, this is the status page for the P2Pool I'm trying...

You can see me chugging away, but that "time to share" just keeps fluctuating between 4 hours and 1+ day...

Your settings seem to be fine. I would definitely check into the miner software. I use Vertminer modified as well and I have no issues. I do not use your pool, I use another one.

on p2pool a "share" is like finding a block on solo mining. It is a bit different from normal pool.

Your miner gets many accepted (not sure how to call them, I already used share once...) sub share, however those have a lower difficulty than the share which will generate a payout. So until you get one of those, you won't get any payout.
(running a private node is a bit more transparent regarding those accepted shares)
