Stop this FUD. Everything works and syncing. Poloniex paused for updates. They want to rename HIC to HIRO and update wallet.

I'm thinking I'm on the correct fork (I have coins coming in from the pool).  Poloniex is looking into the deposit issue.

Yes, Poloniex is on a fork.

Correct. They are fixing it as we speak.

The people who lost coins because of the fork ( there were onlya few  low volume trades ) should contact both Poloniex and us. We sent out warnings on social media, forums and through the client, but we accept some of the responsibility and will do whatever we can to recover lost transactions.

EDIT : trading has resumed and HIC is now properly named HIRO.

Send a ticket to Poloniex and forward any comunication to us please. You'll get them back one way or the other.

And on another note, seems HIRO has bottomed out and is now slowly climbing up again.

We gave a weeks notice and messages of the new version was sent out over our forum and BitcoinTalk, social media and directly through the client through the built-in Client Alert feature. Seems that direct messages will also be required. As we continue to evolve and take on the best features and security there is no doubt that we will have to hard or soft fork again in the future.

Apologies for any trouble caused. So far this is the only issue reported. I expect that some users are yet to open their old client but they will be greeted by the update notice.

Hirocoin - New unique feature just added. We will be the new home for GPU miners when those Scrypt ASICs hit.

I saw the update notices, after I sent the coins!  It was there the next time I opened my wallet.  Timing...  Thanks for helping out!!
