china has not banned BTC, that is why price is going up.

China never "banned" bitcoin. That's largely BS that was spread by people trying to short sell BTC. China did make rules about banks not investing in BTC and I believe they are not allowed to denominate depositor's accounts in BTC.

There is no ban. http://www.coindesk.com/pboc-deadline-day-business-usual-btc-china/There are three important points to remember in this series of events: firstly, despite some stating otherwise, China has not ‘banned bitcoin‘.
Secondly, any leaked opinions so far referred to funding bitcoin exchange accounts through bank deposits. Bank accounts were never in danger of being frozen, and the ability to withdraw funds from exchanges to bank accounts was not in question. Chinese exchanges also work with multiple banks at a time, with the ability to transfer funds between them.
Thirdly, and most significantly, all reports from China concerning banks and bitcoin exchanges so far are unofficial. To date there has been no ruling or policy statement by the People’s Bank of China on the matter, and any actions taken by Chinese banks were precautionary only.

Everything looks like a pump& dump. First there were rumours of the blanket ban on BTC in china on the 15th as the deadline
However, as the deadline has come passed with no difference, the prices have started moving back to where it was before the big dump

What happened? Simple.
1. China hasn't banned bitcoin, as expected.
2. Those spreading FUDs bought some cheap bitcoin.
3. Bitcoin price went back up.

This wasn't unexpected though, from a country like China. But yeah, the ban was rumors made up by ordinary people. Glad we got it out of the way.  |

This wasn't unexpected though, from a country like China. But yeah, the ban was rumors made up by ordinary people. Glad we got it out of the way. only rumors don't think it would be even possible to ban bitcoin for ordinary people, they could ban it, but it would be like pirating games it's illegal but no one can do anything to stop you from downloading them.. |

No one is neutral when talking about Bitcoin.
There is 2 kind of people :
- the ones that want to BUY : they want Bitcoin to be low, they want you to believe that Bitcoin is worthless.
- the ones that want to SELL : they want Bitcoin to be high, they want you to believe that Bitcoin will go to the moon and beyond.

As others mentioned, the ban is just a FUD. Bitcoin price goes back to around $500 now, after nothing happened in China. |
