Overclocked and overvolted 1050mhz core at 1.25 volts and stays pretty cool it produces around 220-240Mhash 24/7 stable
Edit( not every 5770 is gonna be able to clock this high )
Wow that card is really good for a budget.I wish I could find 2 used HD5770s in UK last summer instead of buying 1 HD6950 (it was the unlocked shaders that tempted me as it gave me more value for money but UK didn't sell HD5770s last year which is a shame) My HD6950 only gives me 400MHashs and that HD5770 is like more than half the performace of my card.Talk about a good cheap GPU (runs cool, overclocks, overvolts and performs well) The HD6770s (the only equivalent I can find in UK now) don't perform as well as HD5770s. I wonder how much energy these HD5770s/HD6770s used at those speeds? As my PSU is quite old and can't support multiple GPUs easily or 1 huge GPU (even thats out of the question now due to weak amps on 12V rail and PSu was bought in 2007,released in 2005 as price came down) I just hope that the HD7770s perform as well or better than the HD5770s (as they will be more accessible for me as I'm in UK)

well for reference my killawatt tell me I am idling at 190 watts with a 6950/5770 then with the 5770 at load I am at 290 so somewhere around 100 watts or so

Thanks for that luo demin.Very useful for me indeed. This shows that I could get up to 480MHashs (in theory with the best overclock) while using 200W total with 2 HD5770s as opposed to 400MHashs at 220W with my HD 6950 so there are cost and energy savings to be had (though not by much). My PC idles at 85W (at best typically this is 94W) with HD6950,PC then uses 300W when HD6950 is under full load (Overclocked heavily and fans at 54% plus unlocked shaders.) All my readings are from the wall with an 80% efficient PSU (before the 80% + standard came into place. The PSU is Enermax Liberty 620W-old one,not the eco model).

The TDP of a 5770 is 108 watts so its gonna be near the same wattage with 2x5770. what are the specs on that 6950 ? unlocked ? mine gets too hot above 950 core so basically im stuck at 350mhash stock shaders

Setings on my HD6950 are: Unlock shader mod (from 1408 stock shaders to 1536 unlocked shaders) core clock:895MHZ mem clock:320MHZ Fans:54% Volt:stock at 1.1V (1100mV) Temps:77oC (up to 80oC on a really hot day so far) On mine, its best to keep temps under 85oC otherwise it crashes with unlocked shaders (doesn't crash at this temp with stock shaders) ~400MHash/s Power use (from wall):210W (220W+ when overclocked and overvolted above these settings.) I hope this anwsers your question :-)

I'm glad that tip about the unlocked shaders helped you :-) Without unlocked shaders the GPU would only do 370MHash/s at those clock speeds.Unlock the shaders and I reach 400MHash/s (sometimes even more than that on good days)

Have either of you tested for stability with lowering the voltage? If you can run stable with lower voltage it will bring donw those temps a bit and/or allow for a bit higher gpu clock.
Stable at 1050 on the 5770 is very impressive btw, Luo!

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA

It will go higher 1100 on 1.3 volts but thats pushing it a little to hard for my taste and honestly I just got the 6950 not too long ago and I hope to put it under water some time soon. the temps are just too high on air for 24/7 oc'ed.

Just received the 6950 and it's exactly as advertised, great trade! Surprisingly, it runs about on par with my 5870 temp wise even though one of the fans half works at 73 degrees while mining without my huge house fan on it. Will be interested to see what the temps are like once i get a replacement fan! yochdog is a great trader, will definitely do business again if opportunity arises! I've got about 1.3 of the 2 coins that I owe you. Will let you know when I send them- should be soon
