In the U.S I see alot of signs put up at intersections advertising a variety of different things, events, investing, yard sales. Are you allowed to do that in your country?
It is technically not legal everywhere in the U.S. but I see the same ones over and over, planning to post up my own.

Those signs are usually from a national advertising agency, which has paid the city/county/state for the space.

"Real Estate Investor Seeking Apprentice!! Earn $150,000 in 90 Days!!
Call 000-0000

That is a paid for Ad? A city cannot offer special privileges to a specific party just cause they want to, then there is also the whatevercitysingles.com I have seen all over too, these certain Ads are why i dare to put mine up.

Oh, are you talking about small signs along the roadway?  Yeah, those are free, but there is no guarantee how long they stay up.

In my country, such type of advertising is prohibited with the exception of specially designated areas. But no one cares about the law, and even the law enforcement authorities turn a blind eye to it. Also, I have never heard of anyone getting fines for putting up advertisements in the public places.

Depends on where they are at, In the city you can post them but you will pay a for a permit if its city property, but is allowed considering you paid the 10 bucks a month to have it there. We can do yard sale signs but have to pay the city for a permit to have a yard sale, whic is like 5 bucks and if you are selling without one its just a 10 dollar citation. But along the roads and stuff like that, they can stay up as long as they arnt blown over, no one activity goes around to remove them or anything. This is all in Florida by the way

Either until it is washed out in the rains, or until the rivals throw it in the dustbin.

People posts signs up for yard sales and lost cats I don't see why it would be a problem but something tells me that someone would come knocking if you had a business and you tried to advertise it freely.
