SonCoin (SON) drops this Friday, April 18 at 8 AM EST

We've create a version of Litecoin that will be supported by the most original marketing and promotional strategy yet created for an encrypted currency. The company behind the coin, Artisan Media Group, worked closely with a publishing company called Fugitive Poets Press to design an interactive, multimedia-supported marketing strategy for this coin. The result: the world's first "book coin."

Help us make history with SonCoin, the first of the next generation of strategically branded coins. If you'd like to read more about branded coins, here's a good CoinDesk article to check out: http://www.coindesk.com/humint-custom-build-altcoins-brands/

SonCoin.com Launches April 21

The story behind SonCoin, the website, and multimedia elements will give this coin a mystique and a market presence that will make it totally unique, and we look forward to working with the community to make it happen.

We've set up a MailChimp list for miners that are interested - sign up and we'll send you an email reminder then an email with a Github link Friday morning at 8 EST.  Here's the link to our email list:  http://[Suspicious link removed]/PSTpX

Scrypt coins are so out. Nothing new - why should people mine this coin, if there are already a bazillion other coins out there? What's so special with your coin?

If you want to have a chance of making it, you should use a new or cooler algorithm like x11 or groestl. Better yet, you should have researched and came up with something completely new.
