Coin2 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483847.0

Coin2 was the first coin to have an innovative distribution model. A coin PMC did a free distribution before c2 but generally known as unfair at best as no details were given how many coins went to whom.

So coin2 was the first free giveaway coin and after it many new free giveaway clone coins are popping up.

These coins are nothing but clone pump and dumps at best. The Coin2 team is a hard working team currently developing an FPS game - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=558523.0

Coin2 has real goals to get C2 adopted in the real world market. This thread was made to educate people as some coins are using the I AM FIRST statement to give some artificial value to their coin.

Yep, the dev failed even to update OP in the announcement thread and his site as well, but apart from this surely a great coin  Undecided.

The OP WAS updated actually, the update is removed now as the switching is over. The official thread has 30 pages only talking about the POS plans which have been going for around a week. Please go and check first

Perhaps I missed some fine print in the OP during the last few days Smiley. (I'm rarely reading the whole ANN topics every day.)

Premine was first. Coin2 was some kind of stealth facebook launch, and failed so badly it needed to be scrapped and re-released as a proof-of-stake coin. Faircoin had a reasonably fair release, although some users still managed to scam it.

Lol, failed, scrapped? IT IS SELLING AT 1000 satoshi mate. And it was 'switched' to POS , all coin holders got converted coins.

I just checked your post history, looks like you have nothing to do other than spreading FUD

The coin suffered multiple forks and died. That is a fail in my book. Dev didn't have the skills to change it to POS so an entirely new coin was released instead (albeit with a 1:1 redemption ratio). How can you call distribution to a select set of facebook friends fair? Some people don't even use facebook. Facebook is hardly the premier site for altcoin releases either.

I don't need to spread FUD because the coin will die again all on its own.

A quick exploit in Coin2's distribution that we've ultimately learned. The dev required to have you post on facebook to acquire C2, well it was revealed shortly after that you could change your Facebook name, and make it seem like another user.

Thus acquiring 3-4 shares in C2, multiple that with a few facebook accounts if someone chose to do so.

Your comments have confirmed that you are a stupid teen sitting behind his keyboard talking about something which he knows nothing about. Dev is a highly intelligent guy who thought a completely new blockchain was the best option because C2 purchased before the attack would be invalid if the chain was rolled back. It was the best decision as dev didnt want people to lose their money due to pre attack rollback. Now better get out of crypto before you lose some serious money on a shitcoin as people like you tend to get more attracted to them

Coin2 is very interesting and now when it is PoS it is even more! Smiley

I believe coin2 will get popularity in next weeks after all exchanges convert c2 into c2.0.

Okay I like that you're supporting it and I REALLY like the FPS but I think some of your morals such as accusing BTC of being an insta-mine are very wrong. There are issues with distributing basically all the money supply to 1000 people. We'll see how Coin2 does, anyway.

BA Computer Science, University of Oxford
Dissertation was about threat modelling on distributed ledgers.

I couldn't care less about the coin, but I take exception to your hypocrisy. Take these quotes from your OP for example.

...
So coin2 was the first free giveaway coin ...

...This thread was made to educate people as some coins are using the I AM FIRST statement to give some artificial value to their coin.

You are using the same "I AM FIRST" routine to gain artificial value for C2. Premine was clearly the first.

Then you accuse me of spreading FUD, when clearly you are spreading FUD about Premine. The distro was not "shady". The premine thread is there for all to see. With a block chain explorer plus the addresses listed in the thread you can see exactly who got what.

Unfortunately, people dont understand what the real intention was, they just go on saying the same thing again and again. I posted to talk about a third coin which now says they were the first. Its like litecoin saying im the first crypto coin. Whatever, i am not here to pump anything. Clearing the facts only
