That was an awesome welcome into a community. Thanks! I can see what you mean by there not being trolls on this thread. After posting, I started going backwards throughout the posts.

With my next question, please don't think I'm trying to detract from this coin, it's just a serious question. May I ask if any experienced coders have gone over the source code a bit? Are there multiple parties involved in the development? I just came from AC, where it was discovered that there was a significant pre-mine hidden within the source.

Yes.  Our CinniCoin Dev is an experienced coder, but also rat4 (the dev of BC) has assisted with our code at the very beginning of Cinni.  After the whole AC scam, I am sure there will be people to carefully check Cinni code, however at this time I do not know of any others that have other than rat4.  But rat4 has very high credentials.

After reading through many of the posts, as well as the fantastic replies, I've dumped a few BTC worth into Cinni.

Especially after the fact that there have been multiple reliable coders as part of the development.

Hey guys please donate CINNI to this address for the CINNI faucet!!  I donated a decent chunk to the faucet creator now we need people to donate to the faucet itself.  Thanks in advance!

I think I know what the problem is.  You say you opened it with walletpassphrase in the console right? If you entered the 9999999999 in the command line, like most people do, that means your wallet will stake for 99999999 seconds. That's a long time. Go back and change it to 30 seconds and see what happens. .

ah yes you are right!

Ok so I actually have to choose if I have them in my wallet but not have "full" access all the time to them or if I have them at some (possibly dodgy) exchange.. but I agree its a PoS not a Cinny issue.. Thanks for the support guys! At least for now it changed back to balance

Thanks.  I saw your post.  But just to clarify, rat4 is not a dev of Cinnicoin.  He just assisted Cinni by looked over the code and adding several lines to it.

We all should know that wollong has interest in all coins that makes profit..
A lot of us suspect that bc pump to 84k was his creation..
So when he sees a good coin he will make a pump..
And if he anounced cinni pump i think we should be happy, because then this will happen!!!

Our precious cinni to the stars:) wiiiiiiiii Cheesy

Hope that we will maintain the price then when cinni rises!

cinni is not a pump and dump coin, people should be worried if someone starts trying at an early stage.  the Cinni network will slow to a crawl if a large majority of people pump and dump instead of also being stakeholders to keep the network "regular" and fast. and the price will no tbe maintained if Cinni starts to take days to transfer because people only care about quick profit instead of holding in their wallets some cinni for PoS and network support.

Remember Cinni is 100% PoS, there is no PoW mining to carry the load now in between PoS blocks and its not necessary if people save small amounts of Cinni to wallet and allow staking to occur, this is what will help support Cinni price, not pump and dumps.

Also if you deposit to an exchange like cryptsy then your coins are likely not kept in the deposit address but swept later on to another address so more coinage and a potential PoS block is lost. Pump and dump wont help as they encourage this behaviour more and its too early in the cinni coins life to support it.  this why it takes 2 hours to get 10 confirms one day and 30 mins another day.
cant rely on coins sitting long enough on exchanges like that to support the network - without coincontrol feature they are unable to control which coins will fulfil user withdrawals, by default it will most likely be the oldest coins in the exchange wallets meaning more lost of inputs that could have mined another PoS block. (any amount of Cinni must remained unmoved for 3 days before Cinni can begin to stake).  o

There are a few exchanges that dont appear to move user deposits around and the coins if not withdrawn from exchange or sold will sit in wallets unmoved allowing some staking to occur.  BC has good balance of stakeholders in their community versus people only interested in keeping on exchanges for trading and pump and dumping and this helps their network be fast and regular.

Such small sell volume on Cryptsy finally coin is in strong hands less then about 6 Bitcoin could buy all the coin upto 25500K. To me that is the sign of a healthy coin and soon to be pricr spike.

weak hands keep their cinni on exchanges worrying about price and p&ds.  strong hands keep in it in their wallets. Wink

I think cryptsy has always had small volume for Cinni, at least in comparison to MP.  If you want to buy a lot of Cinni, you'd be wise to do it on Mintpal.

Honestly the best way to get people on the Cinni train is to include them in the building of the CINNI community.  What we need is a clearly laid out list of features and services that CINNI already has, and what CINNI still needs. Then we try to get people who are somewhat interested to help build the services needed and enhance the existing tools that need it. If people get to take part in the CINNI development it will make them much more attached to the coin and community, as opposed to those in it for a quick profit.

That is a small flaw with all Proof of Stake coins.  You just have to wait for them to mature in order to get them out of your wallet.  Any that you will need immediate access to can be kept on an exchange.

Hi guys. I apparently cannot send my coins from the wallet anymore. since this staking procedure started I got like 200 Cinni but unconfirmed and now the TOTAL amount of coins shifted in the wallet from balance to staking. I cannot send any coins that way. this sucks Sad

Any idea how long it takes cinni to mature so you can get them out of your wallet? i was always able to withdraw my BC while they were staking.

Are you sure you are right about this?

I'm asking because i haven't tried staking my Cinni yet.

its not a flaw, it helps secure the coin.  hover your mouse over the amount in your transactions and you will see how many blocks/confirmations are left before it matures and is available for use again.  and very bad idea to keep on exchange.

if you were able withdraw your BC while staking then that BC was from another input/deposit you sent to wallet.

when you stake it is from one input.  the first time you stake after it will split into 2 inputs.  so for example you withdrew 10000 from exchange to your wallet.  First time it will stake entire 10000 Cinni as its 1 input. (you also get 3.?? CinniCoin "interest").  after this will be 2 x inputs of 5000 Cinni and in 3 days they will stake again but separate from each other so you would then be able to spend the Cinni in one input that has not staked while the other is waiting to mature (and also the interest will 1.?? for each one).

You can set a reserve balance that will never stake, or "break up" what is sent to wallet into smaller amounts eg 1000 Cinni x 10 instead of 10,000 Cinni x 1.   Each of those 1000 Cinnis will then stake separately and allow for more flexible use of the Cinni you have in wallet in future.

Perhaps some AC people are (wisely) sending some love to Cinni.  Price is rising quickly on Mintpal.  Already over 10k sats (which is still grossly undervalued).
