What happened::
I ordered a Cube at .25BTC and this was the only fee stated on the website (Shipping was stated to be free). After a 2 days of hearing nothing, I contacted the company and they wanted more money to cover "extra fees" that weren't outlined on the website. I didn't pay these extra fees because at this point I knew it was a scam and didn't want to lose more BTC. I kept trying to ask them for a refund but they would give some nonsense response or not respond at all.

No scam has taken place, you just refuse to pay the tax. As soon as you pay the tax we can move forward. Pay 0.03 or lose 0.25 forever. I know what I would do if I was a rich American from the land of the free woo woo woo, etc etc.

Wow. Then why can't they give the 0.25BTC back? And why didn't they specify this "tax" before?

Exactly my point. I wrote those 0.25BTC off as a loss.
I learned a good lesson.

It good that you didn't lose that much. I always search for the reputaion of a website in this forum and reddit before I send money to them.

Yup, SCAM !!
Find it out myself the hard way too.
Cost me BTC0.45.   I've been emailing them/him/her for over three months now; I just can't get rid of that tiny speck of hope

really wish I would have seen all this before I spent my bitcoins there they deleted my orders are 2 months another to watch out for is eastcoastminers.com they are the same company and they will take your money
