All I have repeatedly done is ask the coin's dev to answer questions that should be addressed. The conflict between what was reported to be the premine and that which was given out by the coin's wallet. On top of that, the fact the to blockchain explorer was giving out conflicting information also, would give more reason for the dev to give legitimate replies to these questions and quickly. The point I find completely wrong about this whole thread is this:
Far too many people (not saying anyone that posts here) follow the next coin like it's the second coming of the great pumpkin. They blindly follow the next big thing.
No developer should encourage this, they should always encourage validation of facts and to reply with facts when asked about a specific point regarding their coin, its code and how the overall network and blockchain is working or should work.
There are too many coin daemons out there doing some really nasty things... From simply ignoring certain config options to claiming complete anonymity (while still using IRC peer discovery over standard IPV4). I have also seen daemon code actually search for other ./coin/coin.conf files and send copies as well as machine data (firewall, iptables, etc) to a dead drop email address.
So... the bad thing about this thread, all of this "to and fro" could have been avoided if the dev had just answered some simple questions and posted a reasoned explanation (just like I had to end up doing for him).
To be very honest, I think the coin launched very well. I've seen much worse on other launch days... I would strongly suggest that, should the developer ever decide to launch another coin, he should seriously consider appointing someone with more PR and human skills to lead the interactions in the forums.
Everything else, that's up to you to decide.

I dont write shit, i just want to know I'm too noob to watch if 5% or 0.10% was premined .... So i wait and see The premine is 0.10 % from PoW + PoS max coins. So now the premine is 0.1%? So at 50 mil EON, you are saying there is a hard cap on 500 billion EON? Is this how devs do things with these PoS coins, I suppose I haven't been paying attention. Pretty sure you should only be counting the PoW blocks when you are talking premine. Kinda just guesstimating in my head, but going from 1 bil EON to 500 billion EON will take decades I think. So does all the PoS coin you accumulate starting this thing off with 5% of the total PoW coins not count? In 50 years when the last EON is mined, I don't want you getting an unfair cut of all the pure virgin brides you can buy for your harem when the anti-christ rises and the new world order institutes EON as the one world currency. |

Well I am glad I pulled my machines off yesterday. Would have been a shame to have wasted the hash. Why did the supposed premine go from 0.5% to 5% and now 0.1%? Seems to me this should have been ironed out from the start, what a joke!

I pulled mine off yesterday as soon as the controversy started. Dumped off everything I mined to break even and cover the power cost. Who knows... Maybe it will survive and take off but it's just not worth the risk to me. I'd rather miss the train than be run over by it  |
