(Phys.org) —In the field of neuromorphic engineering, researchers study computing techniques that could someday mimic human cognition. Electrical engineers at the Georgia Institute of Technology recently published a "roadmap" that details innovative analog-based techniques that could make it possible to build a practical neuromorphic computer.

human congnitive fuctions are quite powerfull but our brains aren't perfect, while it is interesting to understand and add such functions to computers I think, computers should have their way of doing things, quantum computing might unlock new horizons, but today we huge quantum computers with our understanding of todays computing, instead of taking a whole new aproch
