Why did Bitmit shut down anyway?
My recollection is that their escrow service, the crux of their revenue model, meant they were holding other people's funds which was difficult to do in their jurisdiction. Bitmit was awesome.

I read (can't remember where, maybe the NXT forums) that some guys are working on an anonymous auction site to be run on top of NXT. It would be sweet if that pans out!
