Doubt they'll close the thread, but please look for the answer on the forum, in stickies and with the search bar before posting your own threads in the future!

Long long time ago, the restriction was 5 posts + 4 hours.

Think you just need to edit your post and an option is there to close. I wonder if they'll bring the newbie jail back?

If you're a newbie yourself and ask for the newbie jail back they'll surely react to it. And remember, you won't be a newbie forever if you keep being active on this forum. Smiley

Because newbies are cluttering the other parts of the forum with spam, ponzis, questions that are already answered in the stickies etc.
Of course you don't want it as you're a newbie yourself, but when you've been around for a while you'll realize why it was implemented in the first place.

-snip-
newbie jail -snip-

Why would anyone want it back?

There are plenty people in other sub forums who want it back. They didnt have newbies with 1-10 posts for a long time and not every newbie is nice and willing to learn. Some just make a new account to scam, to spam or to troll. It takes way more dedication to break out of the newbie jail.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

Indeed, I could make an account right now and within 6 minutes post my own Ponzi thread that's completely illegitimate and clutter up the games and rounds section.

Well I don't want it back for my sake, but maybe I'll change my mind in the future.

Trust me I was happy that they had removed the newbie jail when I had the newbie rank too, but soon enough everyone changes their mind. Nobody likes the newbies except the newbies themselves.
