Latest offer: ~6btc <-- offer me something similar and I’ll consider it.

For sale; One HashFast Sierra lovingly called LARRY.

LARRY currently spends time in my room consuming 1530W (measured at time of posting) at the wall.
LARRY can be yours for ~8btc, delivered free via Express Post in Australia (or World Wide via DHL, price neg.).

Shoot me your best offer and I'll consider the best deals Smiley prefer to ship within Australia but not restricted. Pick-up or drop-off possible (@ Post codes 2118 and 2128).
Payment method; Bitcoins, AUD Branch Deposit or Cash (of equivalent value)
Contact; Please post here as I prefer not to have a filled PM Inbox.
Max. time frame the unit will be on sale for: 14 days

Thanks for looking!!

Well If you dont mind me asking a few questions before i place an offer,

1. Is the unit overclocked? It seems it is atleast my original baby jet came blocked at 550.

2. Does this unit get MPP? If so are we(the buyers) entitled to it?

3.If you have flashed/update the firmware if any to update.I know the babyjet has a update but I am not sure if the sierra does.

Does it matter? By the time HashFast ships their MPP you'll be able to buy a 2TB USB miner for $5.

1. Not that I know off. I have not attempted to OC the unit. I am running the Clock speed at 604Mhz as recommended by the previous owner (who has spent time and effort to tunning and configuring the unit; he specialises in this field of work). Temps. are kept at default 85c, as recommended by HashFast iirc.

2. No. This unit does no get MPP.

3. I have not touched the firmware (as recommended by the previous owner). There may be newer releases of the firmware but I am unaware of it.

Feel free to ask more questions Smiley

Cheers,
QG

I'd be interested if the price enabled profit, but 8btc is too much, thb this ad is really better suited for someone trying to get into mining and keen to learn the hard way.

Good luck with your auction, maybe try ebay?

i'm not unreasonable, should really offer a price Smiley you never know. but yeah if I think i can get a better deal on ebay, i'll prolly head that way. ebay has fees so really just looking for other options.

Cheers for looking Smiley

If you have free electricity and calculate 15% difficulty increases, BTC 8 is about what this unit will generate in 365 days, so it's not such a dishonest pricing. The main selling point is that the unit is tested, working and available for shipping right now, it's not a pre-order of some vapourware. Not a bad deal.

I paid BTC 115 for the same unit, last September. I wish I would have bought it for BTC 8 ;-)

Screw you Hashfast, for scamming your customers by shipping out this equipment with 5 (five!) months delay and not honouring refunds

Well I wouldnt say its not vapourware but okay.

Relating to Overclocking, I think the unit is overclocked but I could be wrong.

In anycase I'll start with a low ball offer of 4 BTC

Package dimensions are:
Weight: 18kg
Length: 66cm
Width: 60cm
Height: 30cm

DHL to UK (London) is est. at: AUD655.78
DHL to USA (California) is est. at: AUD558.05
DHL to NZ (Wellington) is est. at: AUD382.38
DHL to AU (Perth) is est. at: AUD555.30 <-- wtf?

AusPost Express to UK (London) is est. at: AUD452.00
AusPost Express to USA (California) is est. at: AUD386.25
AusPost Express to NZ (Wellington) is est. at: AUD239.40 <-- free!! oddly..
AusPost Express to AU (Perth) is est. at: AUD343.05 <-- free!!

Above delivery are estimates based on the courier's online calculators. Please only use as a guide. You may consider up to ~AUD300 delivery cost will be covered by me.

I've had an offer in PM for 5.5btc which I may consider if I do not get further offers, but still discussing delivery terms as UK is a distance from AU. I guess as it stands, offers above 6btc will be considered and depending how low the delivery cost can be is going to make my final decision. I will make my decision in the new month (plan to ship out first Monday of May).

oh yeah, Escrow is possible too.

QG

Offer update; 6btc delivered to UK via DHL, seller pays for delivery. But buyer wants it now and will reduce price for later shipment. My plan was to ship it out on the first Monday of May. Escrowed.

If you think you can offer a better deal, lettuce know. Unit is planned to go first Monday of May 2014.

This unit is IN-HAND in Sydney Australia and can be yours for 6btc or more

Hi,

My offer would be $2500 in equivalent Bitcoins at the time of the Transaction

I live 10 minutes down the road from you as well so I could pick it up (and see it working etc) to save you the hassle

What's the noise level like on the unit as well?

Thanks,

I was hoping for an offer around the same value as the PM (~6btc) but i wouldn't have to ship it overseas.

How's bout 6.5btc and you can have it this weekend, delivered to your door if you are only 10mins away Smiley You can test it before you hand over the cash/BTC.

I measured the nose level to be just under 70db from my phone. Not sure how accurate it is. running with an AVA2 was only 75db. And the AVA2 was hella noisy (unbearable for more than 3 days, i know i tried it). The Sierra is much better sounding than the AVA2. Sorry, this is the only comparison i have.

Lettuce know what you think.

New offer from IRC; 5btc + PayPal for the value of 1btc market price. Kinda like 6btc. Delivered express post Sydney to Qld. I was very close to accepting this offer but the buyer wanted it now. Earliest I am willing to ship is this Monday.

So, I'll probably decide this Sunday.

Lettuce know if you are interested and offer me a price. Anything above 5btc will be seriously considered.

Cheers,
QG

Well 5BTC AUD right now would be $2630 which would be over the max I could spend but may be doable with pickup

If he offers you the equivalent of 6 and is happy to take it next week then best to go with the QLD deal

Which IRC room are you in? Does a lot of trading go on there?

well, if there's no other solid offer for this Sierra unit at say ~5.5btc (posted in aus), i may take it off the market. I may have another project for it.

I might ship it to the US for hosting. looking for cheap co-lo hosting.
