I have seen at least half a dozen similar petitions propping up during the past week or so. The question is, do we really need Amazon? Amazon guys have already made it clear that they have rejected Bitcoin as a mode of payment, after carefully studying it. Why start begging to them? If they don't accept Bitcoin, then it is bad for them only. Why should we care?

I'm quite happy they don't accept BTC - keeps me in business - see my sig.  Grin

There are a few people offering amazon BTC payment services in different countries, so it really isn't a problem. there are also more & more companies accepting BTC payments - use them instead. It's amazons loss.

Oh...common.... We all know that Ebay will never accept Bitcoin. Paypal is 100% owned by Ebay. If Ebay allows Bitcoin, which is a competitor to PP, then it can ruin Paypal. Amazon is theoretically possible. But I have no such dreams about Ebay.

I still think it's possible, if Paypal uses bitcoin as a mode of payment on top of visa/debit/echeck, they can charge the same fees they already do, Ebay charges a fee as well for selling, they would not lose out, the credit card companies may though if they do that..

Definitely not. The main advantage Bitcoin have over Paypal is the low fees and currency exchange charges. If we give away those advantages, then the attractiveness of Bitcoin will diminish.
