It's just privacy reasons. Unless like a lender wants info for loans I would give it to them, then they would know where the business is at. Other wise it would give away the name of my home town publicly. Prob same for OP.

The good thing about charities and charity shops is that I think bitcoin enthusiasts like to spread awareness and adoption this way by donating so it's win win giving/spending money to charity really. |

Well I think readers here should just take this as what it is: A local charity shop posts a bitcoin address in their window - they are not asking *you* to donate, but they offer their visitors an option.
I tend to agree. I see this as a fine example and an inspiring development. People helping people.  |

Charity is a wonderful application for bitcoin. It would be especially good if a charity and recipients had customized addresses so we could see that the funds actually go to the place they are supposed to.
