On reddit there's a
discussion going on right now to nickname a microbit to a bit.
While I do agree that nicknames such as satoshis or even dorians are fine, (after all we use dimes, nickles and pennies as well), using 'bits' is far too confusing.
Therefore, I think we should come up with better names that do not sound like bit at all to avoid confusion.
Of course the words derived from 'millibit' like millies, or 'microbits' like mikes are nice, but something less dull could also be used, as long as the meaning is clear.
Stop spreading confusion and start using nice nicknames. There's a reason they didn't call dimes a dollie.
