I am in bitcoin for a few months, but still can't even start with namecoin,

And to execute RPC commands such as getbalance, you need to start namecoind as a server(with user and password).

Look at allchains.info for the blocks mined and difficulty. Multiply blocks mined by 50 to get idea of how many namecoins are mined.
