windows wallet up! longest 5 min ever!

Yeah, severely underestimated uploading time. You can't believe how much stuff there is to do to get this thing going.

bloody hell mate.. I had some trouble getting my GPU working in Linux could only get sgminer going on the inbuilt graphics and I couldn't get Linux to start with the GPU as my primary display... so I gave up and booted into Windows 7. Now the Windows wallet is late and the Linux guys are getting all the blocks...

Relax mate.  I have got 8 R280x and I haven't even hooked them up myself.  No time.

How'd ya not have the windows wallet done days ago? It probably takes more effort than actually creating the coin.

We had it done, then changed some stuff then had to recompile.  Then more changes done.  Then more recompile, then ran into QT 5 issues.  You will not believe how effing hard it is to compile a win wallet. I kid you not.

No one is doing GPU mining until the pools are up.

It's just CPU mining at this stage until the pools are up.

Use the win wallet to mine.  Go to Help -> Debug Window -> Console -> type: setgenerate true -1

If you're on a laptop, it will get hot.  So suggest you go to your laptop power management and reduce CPU max power to somewhere between 60% to 99%.

of course you can solomine with a GPU. You just need to create a conf file add the rpc port and the rpcuser/rpcpassword. Configure sgminer and off ya go.

Thanks mate! I always wondered how people did that.  I only ever connected to pools with sgminer. Could you post some more step by step instructions for the newbies? (like me).
