Hello,
Right now I am doing a research for school and I'm trying to find out what the demand of Bitcoin mining hardware is nowadays (I feel like this is hopeless...) It's pretty hard to find information regarding this and therefore I was hoping that maybe someone can help me out. I think a good starter would be to find out how many people are actually mining bitcoins. If there's anyone that can help me and has the time for it I will forever be grateful!
(I'm sorry if my English is bad.)

All answers are in this forum. You just need to read them. If you want to mine Bitcoins you need powerful equipment. So, if you don't invest money in your pocket, you can't mine Bitcoins.

You can find the total network hashrate easily, but it is hard to estimate the number of miners.
People could have a huge ASIC farm, or could have just a USB miner mining just for fun.

If you have solar or wind system and you get free electricity, then I'm sure it would be really profitable.
