I have always had some respect for CoinTerra, as they have had a fairly good reputation with regards to producing good equipment, albeit a little under-performing based on their development estimates.
They have also seemed to present a fairly professional corporate face as they grew; however, I finally ordered my first product from them - a single GSX I (400ghs) PCI board - paying in full as soon as they announced availability of it (on February 17, 2014), but now I've taken note that there have been ZERO updates from them about this product.
The new TerraMiner IVs seem to be flying off the shelves, yet absolutely ZERO mention about the GSX I.
Obviously, any machine that cost over $1700 for a measly 400ghs is starting to look absolutely useless, so I decided to use their support address to request an update on the development of the GSX I.
On 4/16/14, I sent an email to
support@cointerra.com an email asking two simple questions: Is is progressing? Is it on schedule?
I received NO response.
I sent a followup on 4/21/14, this time threatening that I'd start to seek answers elsewhere (TX Atty General; TX BBB; here) unless they extended the SIMPLE COURTESY of a response. Still, NO answer...
So, today, on 4/23/14, I have sent them a 3rd email asking for a full and complete refund. I have also filed a complaint with the Central TX BBB (
https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started) and I am starting this thread to see if there's anyone else out there that's now experiencing this treatment from CoinTerra.
I am afraid that they may be starting to behave like we've seen so many other hardware vendors do; empty product promise, no intention of delivery, no customer service to back their operation.
Please feel free to add to this, if you've been looking for customer service from them, too.
