Yeah that sounds about right and I suppose the gpu will be worthless when/if it happens! I might just buy some for now and try to reach 1btc by christmas with my gpu lol!
Not at all. If ASICs come out about when we expect them to you'll likely be able to sell your GPUs to gamers pre-christmas  Wink

Yep, have been for over a year now.  Also it has been starting to get down to the high 30's F now at night and I haven't had to turn on the heat yet Smiley.

I agree with this.  The gamer market will gladly soak up 7970s from bitcoin miners for less than retail - $300-$350 or so.  As long as you've had them a few months, you'll have paid for the depreciation.

Yup, I'm selling a few of mine to friends at £240 apiece, I picked them up at an average of £266 each in April, so they've easily made a profit.
