Could you explain what the plans are for ,"Contracts can be upgraded at any time when deemed necessary in mining power at no additional cost to the customer."
Also you have an faq for bitcoin mining, but nothing for scrypt, in regards to pools and what not.

Good question Smiley

that mean if you decide to increase your contracts hashing power, you can do it at any time paying only the GH/s amount and you will not have to pay for fees because you have decided to increase your contracts.

We have decided to use Ghash.io as a pool for Litecoin , we promise that we will add FAQ for Scrypt contracts.

We do understand your point but please know that scrypt miners still cost too much even if we have a special equipments contract.

Members get exactly what their contracts mining for 1 year no stop.

For now members get free 3 months mining on every contract, so you will be mining for 15 months at no hidden fees Smiley

$107 per MH/s, indefinite. Not vaporware.

1 MH/s in one years time will be about completely worthless anyway, so it doesn't matter if you give 3 or 15 free months.

So I bought a service that was supposed to go live 1-June.
It hasn't and you mention that it will be live in 2 weeks max.

How will you compensate me?
Will you refund me or pay me for the lost time mining?

Of course with you not launching and not having a creditable member mentioning that they are your customer everyone thinks you are a scam.

There is no reason to pay $200-$250 per mH for hosted litecoin mining when alternatives are available for less than $70 per mH.

Dear,
If you are convinced that the offer which you have is better, please feel free to open a new topic for it instead of using our official topic.
What I see in that link has no relation with our business ethic and What we practice.

For your information we are not charging any hidden fees we give the members exactly what they are mining, not as that company does which is up to 20% in maintenance fees, which will have people pay much more than what they will pay with us and that will in turn impact their earning as well.

All contracts start mining immediately, we have no presales at the moment.

We do prove to our members that the service we provide equals the cost of it.

You currently state on your website that you mine with Ghash.
Wouldn't it be better to mine instead with one of the smaller pools like Eligius or BTC guild.

Better advertising would probably be to guarantee to never mine with the current largest pool and only ever select one of the other top 5 pools

for example:
"We guarantee to never mine on the current largest pool or a pool that has over 30% of the network hashing power".

Dear virtualcodewarrior,
We have selected Ghash.io because they have the best security setting, we are actually working with our programmers to launch our own pool which we will open for public miners for beta testing soon.

Our pool will support merged mining, Bitcoin and altcoins mining.

We will post more detail about our mining pool soon Smiley .

My mission is to let new miners know of the most cost effective cloud mining services. Yours is terribly expensive and will never return the initial investment. You need to cut your prices for litecoin cloud mining from current $200-$250 per mH to less than $70 if you really intend to compete.

The 2$ per GH is a little expensive , you should drop that to 1.2-1.5 range for it to become great. Also Gawminers have 9.95 option for 10 gh which is technically less than 1$ per GH (ok ok 99.5 cents Cheesy )

Actually $1.49/GH is our best rate if you consider that we don't have any hiding fees, no maintenance fees as some practice.

In skycoinlab members can select between many ways to pay for the contracts, debit/credit cards included.

Important and EXCITING SkyCoinLab Update,

SkyCoinLab is very excited to announce that we are now accepting Paypal as a source for you, the member, to use as a payment/withdrawal processor!

We have worked very hard here at SCL to make every aspect for you an easy and profitable opportunity in the BTC and other very exciting virtual currency endeavors.

Paypal has recently joined the "band wagon", knowing that accepting BTC as a method of payment for many merchants, they in turn took this opportunity to become a processor for SkyCoinLab with open arms.

We appreciate you as a valued member and look forward to a very bright future!

Hi,

I rate cloudmining companies on their likely hood of being a ponzi scam in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.0

Can you please look over the criteria I use, quoted below, and where possible provide arguments or evidence if one of these points does not apply to you;

1) No public mining address / no user selectable pool.
A cloud mining company that wont let you direct the hashrate to your pool of choosing and cant prove its actually mining bitcoins itself, is very likely a scam. There is no reason to hide mining address or not sign blocks. None.

2) No endorsement from any asic vendor
Asic vendors will gladly make a simple post to show the company in question is a significant customer of theirs. Its free advertisement for them and it helps their customer grow their business, so there is absolutely no reason they wouldnt. If a (cloud) mining company cant get any asic vendor to post such endorsement, you should assume they dont have any hardware to mine with.

3) No relevant pictures of their hardware and datacenter
There is no reason not to provide such pictures, except of course, if there is nothing to take pictures off. Mind you: pictures can be faked. Picture dont prove current ownership. So like all criteria listed here, by themselves they are by far insufficient proof.

4) Open ended IPO
Unless the cloud mining is operated by the asic vendor himself, you can not sell an unlimited amount of hashrate. Hardware takes (usually a long) time to order, arrive and deploy. Any company that doesnt limit sales or make public how much hashrate they sold vs what they have (provably) deployed should be considered extremely suspicious.

5) Referral programs and social networking
Referral programs, especially ones that pay almost 10%, are a huge red flag. The mining market is cut throat with razor thin margins. No real company can afford to pay 10% referrals on below market cloudmining prices. Referral programs almost always serve only to feed the ponzi and provide financial incentive to posters to lie about the true nature of the company. Never trust anyone with a referral link in their sig.

6) Anonymous operators
If the operators are hiding behind whoisguard, provide no provable identity and/or company registration information and especially when, like in some cloudmining cases, they use demonstrably false ID or company registration information, you have to be nuts to trust them with your money.

7) No exit strategy
If you cant sell your position, you cant get your money out. Thats the ideal case for a ponzi and allows it to run for a  long time.

Am I right saying your company scores 7/7 on my ponzi scale ?

Hello Puppet,

Thank you for your question, the answer is NO you are not right Smiley .

Here are the answers to your questions, most are on our site but you did not take time to read.

Quote
1) No public mining address / no user selectable pool.
A cloud mining company that wont let you direct the hashrate to your pool of choosing and cant prove its actually mining bitcoins itself, is very likely a scam. There is no reason to hide mining address or not sign blocks. None.

1- Technically It's too difficult if it's not impossible to make every member select the mining pool that he want to use for a minimum of 1 GH contract, the mining pool where we are mining is a public information you could read it in our FAQ page using this link https://www.skycoinlab.com/faq (it's Ghash.io) .

However, we are working with our team of programmers to design a mining pool which will be ready in the next 3 months so our members can monitor there hashing power instantly.

Quote
2) No endorsement from any asic vendor
Asic vendors will gladly make a simple post to show the company in question is a significant customer of theirs. Its free advertisement for them and it helps their customer grow their business, so there is absolutely no reason they wouldnt. If a (cloud) mining company cant get any asic vendor to post such endorsement, you should assume they dont have any hardware to mine with.

2- About this question, we have the right to keep secret our suppliers and we don't need any endorsement, we are advertising Skycoinlab in the differents Bitcoin meetings (last one was The Toronto meeting in November 2014 ).

Quote
3) No relevant pictures of their hardware and datacenter
There is no reason not to provide such pictures, except of course, if there is nothing to take pictures off. Mind you: pictures can be faked. Picture dont prove current ownership. So like all criteria listed here, by themselves they are by far insufficient proof.

3- I agree that we don't have public pictures of our miners and warehouse, we will do it and post pictures of Skycoinlab miners racks.

Quote
4) Open ended IPO
Unless the cloud mining is operated by the asic vendor himself, you can not sell an unlimited amount of hashrate. Hardware takes (usually a long) time to order, arrive and deploy. Any company that doesnt limit sales or make public how much hashrate they sold vs what they have (provably) deployed should be considered extremely suspicious.

4- Please know that Hardware don't take more than 3 business days to be received even of that we have a limit on sells if we reach the maximum of our power hashing rate.

This is an example of our last received batch of miners http://www.dhl.com/en/express/tracking.html?AWB=6309977214&brand=DHL .

Quote
5) Referral programs and social networking
Referral programs, especially ones that pay almost 10%, are a huge red flag. The mining market is cut throat with razor thin margins. No real company can afford to pay 10% referrals on below market cloudmining prices. Referral programs almost always serve only to feed the ponzi and provide financial incentive to posters to lie about the true nature of the company. Never trust anyone with a referral link in their sig.

5- There is no place where we have said that members make 10% on their referrals purchases, it's only 5% and it's on the home page so no need to look too much to get it https://www.skycoinlab.com/home .

Quote
6) Anonymous operators
If the operators are hiding behind whoisguard, provide no provable identity and/or company registration information and especially when, like in some cloudmining cases, they use demonstrably false ID or company registration information, you have to be nuts to trust them with your money.

6- I agree that we are using whoisguard to be protected from spammers, if you like to know where we are you could only contact our live chat support if you were in a hurry.

All it says is that you use ghash. Whats you ghash payout address ?

Quote
2- About this question, we have the right to keep secret our suppliers and we don't need any endorsement,

Same blah blah as all the other ponzi's. So no endorsements.

Quote
3- I agree that we don't have public pictures of our miners and warehouse

So do I.

Quote
4- Please know that Hardware don't take more than 3 business days to be received even of that we have a limit on sells if we reach the maximum of our power hashing rate.

If you dont publish how much you've sold and your real time capacity through your ghash.io statistics, thats meaningless.

Quote
5- There is no place where we have said that members make 10% on their referrals purchases, it's only 5% and it's on the home page so no need to look too much to get it https://www.skycoinlab.com/home .

Its a non trivial referral program, the point remains.

I just did.  The company address is that of an accountancy firm that is probably just working as your mail forwarding provider and that handled the company registration for you.

Neither of the directors seems to have any online footprint whatsoever, no linkedin no history, no nothing.
One of the directors lists an address in Tunesia, the other lists this home address in canada:

Yeah, I think the score remains.

Hello,

Every member that join skycoinlab agree that we are not an invest company and we don't promise any kind of ROI in USD and all what you get is exactly what your contract mining.

The price of our contract change all the time depending on the hardware price, the scrypt miners cost was $9500 for a 100 MHs miner that's why the contract price was that expensive but be sure that you did get exactly what you were mining and you can use an online calculator to check.

This is part of our terms :

If you are a business user, please note that in particular, we will not be liable for:
loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue;
business interruption;
loss of anticipated savings;
loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or
any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
If you are a consumer user, please note that we only provide Our Site for domestic and private use. You agree not to use Our Site for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

I signed up with a 10ghs account (btc) just to test out the service before I decided to make a bigger investment.  I've been a member for about three weeks.  The first week, I had only a day of mining, and was awarded 0.00042 btc.  The second and third weeks (both full weeks) I was awarded 0.00049 btc.  I am trying to figure out two things:

1.  How come the payout for one day of mining is nearly equal to seven days?
2.  How come weeks two and three have identical payouts?  Have you figured out a way to find a consistent number of bitcoins and take the "luck" out of mining?

No, I wasn't expecting any particular return and I understand that there is no guarantee, however, at this point, based on my experience, the ROI is 100 weeks on a 52 week contract.

1- You did get the contracts before the cronjob so you have got a week profit even if you have just bought your GHs.
2- Identical payout or closed to the last one was because the stable difficulty in the last weeks, that payout is variable but not too muc fluctuations with a stable difficulty.

About the ROI 100 weeks can be 200 weeks or 10 weeks all depend on Bitcoin value which is not stable at all to help make an estimation about the ROI time.

Hey Puppet,
the Who.is is public now, remove that point first.

It takes more than that, identities should be verifiable to get that point removed.

However, the info is very interesting nonetheless, and should if anything earn you bonus points. Googling Michel Lavoi, the name of the registrant, about the first hit you get is this:

Quote
More recently, Lavoie has been promoting “Sky Coin Lab”:

Sky Coin Lab accepts investments from affiliates on the promise of ROIs paid out via BitCoin.

michel lavoie (right) also has promotional videos for Trideci (UltraXProject Ponzi scheme relaunch) and GlobalAdShare (a $10 Ponzi scheme) on his account.

On the executive side of things, early last year Lavoie launched ProMatrixPlus. A similar-looking opportunity to GoldAdMatrix, ProMatrixPlus charged participants $27.50 to participate, and paid them on the recruitment of new affiliates via a series of matrices.

A visit to the ProMatrixPlus website indicates the scheme has stalled some time ago, and is likely the reason Lavoie has launched GoldAdMatrix a year or so later.

Read more here:  http://behindmlm.com/companies/goldadmatrix-review-2-567-recruitment-driven-scheme/

Yep, that same Michel Lavoie has been organising ponzi's before. As has his associate Hirsch, all the way back to Zeek Rewards and the like:

Quote
Hirsch (right) has a long history of releasing recruitment-driven matrix scams. His last venture was Rocket Cash Cylcler v2 (stylised as RCCv2), which launched back in February. Alexa statistics reveal that RCCv2 flopped, which when coupled with the recruitment requirements required to keep the scheme afloat, means that it’s likely collapsed some time ago.

Prior to RCCv2 Hirsch launched Rocket Cash Cycler in mid 2013 as a silent owner. Also recruitment dependent, RCCv2 launched when RCCv1 began to collapse.
Rocket Cash Cycler itself was a reboot of Hirsch’s prior matrix scheme, Cloud 2×2.

Going back even further, Hirsch was then involved in the Ponzi schemes Zeek Rewards and Bidify. I’ve previously covered Hirsch’s earlier MLM history in BehindMLM’s cloud2x2 review:

Todd Hirsch was a member of the recently stopped $600 million Ponzi scheme Zeek Rewards and is also a self-described “top earner” member of Bidify.

Hirsch currently claims to be the “#4 top earning” affiliate in Bidify.

Bidify, a penny auction (Bidsson) attached to an MLM business opportunity had a similar Ponzi points compensation plan to Zeek, which was immediately changed following SEC action against Zeek Rewards.

Hirsch recently claimed in a video that he was involved in promoting Zeek Rewards and recruiting new investors knowing full well it was a Ponzi scheme.

Hirsch also recently claimed on Troy Dooly’s MLMHelpdesk that he is a member of the suspected Ponzi investment scheme, ‘Banners Broker’.

Describing himself as a “program jumper” on his blog, Hirsch claims he’s ‘in about seven different programs at this time and (that he’s) joined and been apart of maybe over 50+ programs since (he) started in online marketing in early 2010.‘

Mike Lavoie, named as the CEO of Skycoinlabs in BitCoin Cycler marketing materials is a longtime partner of Hirsch’s. In their marketing efforts, Cloud 2×2 affiliates named Lavoie as co-founder of the scheme with Hirsch.

michel-lavoie-mike-goldadmatrix-adminOnly a few months ago, Lavoie (right) launched GoldAdMatrix. Similar to Hirsch’s matrix scams, Lavoie’s GoldAdMatrix had affiliates buy-in for between $2 to $567 and required constant recruitment to maintain commission payouts.

Alexa reveals some activity in Italy, but otherwise shortly after launch GoldAdMatrix appears to have flopped.

The mention of Sky Coin Labs in BitCoin Cycler’s marketing materials is interesting, as Lavoie (“frenchy36″) was seen promoting the scheme back in April:

Rest here: http://behindmlm.com/mlm-reviews/bitcoin-cycler-review-todd-hirsch-tries-bitcoin/

Im sure thats all very reassuring.

This is going into personnal attack now.
Even of that Mike is not the main owner of Skycoinlab he is a co owner.

Instead of doing your job and being neutral you are attacking the company.

Bitcoincycler don't say much about hash rates, difficult or maintenance costs.
They do say a lot about MLM referral structure, which is all about making money thru matrix 'pyramid' recruitment and nothing about mining Bitcoin.

Could the owner explains more about the X11 contract ?
AFAIK X11 ASICs is not available, and you simply can't develop the model only for your mining business. Where did you get this?
And the price $0.99 per 100 Kh/s?? It's 2 years ROI, who would buy this ?

Looking fairy good rates this do you offer fixed contracts over the year or to even host own equipment then to pay energy fees etc as this seems a good price for energy compared to what I would pay. Where are you guys located in the world. Are you hosting only S5 currently or looking into other areas. Might want to look at getting the S4+ thats double the hash rate and good on energy too.

Dear,
In http://skycoinlab.com we offer fixed contracts for a full year because that's our cloud mining product but in http://skycoinlab.host we do offer only hosting.

Actually we host S5 miners for a monthly $38 + a setup fee of $410, we will add an S4+ hosting plan soon.
We are located in Sudbury/Canada.

Thank you.

Thought I'd share my experience with Skycoinlab over the last year.
I buyed a LTC contract for USD 29.7 at the end of January 2015 (actually two contracts summing to 29.7).

Over the course of the year the contract ran, I received total payouts of 11.29 LTC. In this time the payout has been reduced once.
So I made a little profit on that, however payouts seem to have been reduced again when I checked last, so I assume it is now harder to break even or even make profit except LTC price skyrockets.

Payouts seem to be made by hand always and can take a considerable amount of time to be executed after request, however I received everything in acceptable time.

For me they have been honest and correct - no complains at all. But I can only recommend investing if you are confident LTC will go to >6$ in the next 12 months.

In the hope this short review is of use for anybody, I post it here. As always: Before investing, do your own research!!

We really appreciate your review, think that it's the first one after 2 years of cloud mining  Smiley . Yes, the return is getting reduced because the difficulty fluctuations.

For the withdrawals, we are really sorry we have always to do it manually for security concerns that's why it take a time to process.

Thank you
