Hi,

I blew up 2 USB antminers U1 the defective part on the stick is marked as U3 on the print the part itself has the sign 5038 (or 503B).
Can anyone tell me what electronic part this is?

I just did the same thing. I thought that last digit was an eight though. Now that I looked for B instead, this component makes sense.

Search google for:

Transient-voltage-suppression diode array 503B

I'm guessing here, so use this knowledge at your own risk. It makes sense to me because it looks like the lines from the USB connector run straight to this IC and I let the smoke out of it by accidentally exposing it to 12VDC . Hopefully it did its job and nothing beyond it is fried.
