Why MasterCard Coin?We chose this name mainly because we like the idea of a card being associated with the idea of a coin. Also, we don't really bite the whole Copyright-Trademark issue that haunts everyone's minds these days, and starts those "wow, you guys are really in trouble" threads which are nothing but a projection of a persons' insecurities to the online world. Also, as we have no HQ or a firm/company associated with this coin, we are really looking forward to the "trouble" that we can have with the copyright issue. We really do.
With that being said, let's get to the nitty gritty.
MasterCard Coin is a fork off Bitcoin, with our tiny little bits of code added, some extras being removed, while maintaining the integrity of the whole idea and transactional process. So no, you will not find any EXTRA, SUPER-DUPER massive new features with things that we promise to implement but we will suddenly just happen to forget about them, or 30 pages plans of action that fail miserably when the code is being wrapped up. If you are looking specifically for that, we suggest you close this baby, and search for 'nother thread where the OP can fulfill your hopes with awesome realistic plans like [blazing fast new ("features/addons/speeds")]/[sluggishly-slow implemented (ideas/hopes/lies)] + (ideas too profitable to be true, but SOMEHOW THEY ARE!) times 27% more exaggeration / 701% (because why not) which so happen to = SHIT

MasterCard Coin features and basic explanation of the systemMasterCard Coin is unique in it's own way due to the fact we didn't adopt a mining algorithm, we like to be somewhat different. Different is not necessarily better in this world, but in this case it might just be. The coin is based on Bitcoin, it has the same trading style and speed of transactions, the fee is somewhat different as we chose it to be exactly 0%. Yep, we don't want to tax you everytime you make a transaction, we like you to be just as comfortable sending 1000 MCC, as you would be sending 0,02 MCC. Ye olde Proof-of-Stake system is in place along with the same 27-34 characters addresses. Protection from 51% attack is done also with PoS.
MasterCard Coin will be instamined the second the network goes online. WE WILL KEEP NO COINS FOR OURSELVES. You can do the calculations when we launch, and see for yourself. We will post EACH and EVERY aspect of the coins that we will send out to investors, and we will destroy the coins which have not been sent out to investors in a LIVE STREAM event which is scheduled 4 hours before the official launch on 00:00 a.m. 10 May 2014
MasterCard Coin wallet look and feel: same as your basic Bitcoin wallet, same functionality with the same ease of access and usage. All clients will be slimmer than what you were used to so far (no more 3 hour-long "Sychronizing..." message), they won’t have to download the whole database and will only cache what's relevant to you.

In the first phase we will distribute a third of all the coins (446,000,000) and we mutually decided upon the fixed price of 600,000 MCC for 0,1 BTC. This 1st period will last 3 days. The 2nd period will last 11 days, time which the crowdfunding stops. The thing is that if you donate more, you will get a varying percentage more, according to the following template. In the 2nd phase the remaining 750,300,000 coins will be distributed but no bonuses will be given to investors. In the 3rd phase, we will recalculate ALL the coins given out, and at exactly 7:00 p.m. EDT on 9 May 2014 we will destroy all the coins that have not been purchased in a live stream event.
