I believe there is a serious issue among PoS coins. If CCX focuses on the long term, such an issue need to be taken cared of...

I recently encountered a situation with some PoS coin, say, XX. I would like to send 37000 XX somewhere but always got "Error: Transaction creation failed." no matter how I tried. After googling the error message, I found that sending in a smaller amounts of XX could work. My first successful transaction was about 10000 XX. Then, 8000, 6000, ... working amount became smaller every time. Finally, I sent the total amount of 37000 XX with about 8 transactions and paid the transaction fees every time.

I don't really understand the cryptocurrency technologies and mechanisms. Such a situation seems happening to Bitcoin and Dogecoin, too, according to my googling result. However, I do believe this issue becomes (far more) worse and more frequently seen for PoS coins because proof-of-staking generates a lot of blocks with tiny amounts of coins. One's PoS wallet will then have a balance consisting of a very complicated block structure compared to a PoW wallet. Bitcoin, litecoin, and dogecoin are all PoW coins. None of the PoS coins are really popular at present. So, currently few people hit the problem and suffer from inconvenience and paying transaction fees.

I wonder if dev could look into such an issue and somehow prevent it from happening in the future. Otherwise when CCX becomes more and more popular, CCX users/adopters may find such an issue limits their capability of sending CCX.

CCX is far from dead.  I'll agree things are a little slow at the moment but the coin is working wonderfully with quick transactions and reliable PoS staking.  One of our team members has put together some of his visions for the coin and where it is headed here: http://www.cornerstonecoin.org/develop/roadmap/.

Nice to see that. You should maybe add that into the OP on this thread too so everyone who views the thread can see it easily

Some good opportunities exist at our main exchange partner AllCrypt.  You can pick up some CCX at cheap LTC prices or sell millions for 20 LTC satoshi each.  Happy trading!

Here is the .conf file we use:

listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
maxconnections=100
rpcuser=yourusername
rpcpassword=yourpassword
addnode=54.186.134.64
addnode=23.97.129.104
rpcport=55887
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

Also remember it should be named "CornerstoneCoin.conf".  Sometimes checking the exact spelling will uncover the problem.

It seems that chunkypools are looking for coins to create pools:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423597.msg7820950#msg7820950

Perhaps devs might want to contact them to establish a multipool which pays in CCX.

I just sent them an email requesting they create a pool for CCX.   Smiley

There is an issue with the wallet syncing,  I have deleted and re downloaded the block chain and I am stuck at 1 day behind. Also I am missing 30+ Million coins from my total number. the only thing I can think of is with the price so low someone is able to buy plenty of ccx to fork the coin or this coin has been abandoned.  I have been running the wallet for 3 days and when it looks like it will almost sync IE: 770 more blocks it then jumps back to 13350 blocks.

When looking at the transactions in the wallet there are some of my mining and bittrex deposits that are not being confirmed. But my donation of 1 million ccx to the faucet was confirmed Transaction ID: 04654aeda893d4ed6d32a9153a7219717d7f52ba0600a523fc38197c71b0627a

I am not new to the crypto currency world, I have been in this game for somethime and this is the first wallet issue I have ever had with any coin. Grin

i was about to post same - i've been running v 2.0.0 the last 3 days staking, day 1 all OK, day 2 falling out of synch occaisionally, last 24 h. out of synch.
  checked around a little, tried to open the debug log, but the client couldn't open it with notepad, file too large, over 300 mB, OMG! Notepad++ won't open it either, same reason, when i tried OO.o it crashed, but that may be because i'm staking a few wallets and my 8 gig of RAM is a little stressed. so anyway, i RAR'd the .log then deleted it and restarted the client.

[Edit] @ sid - at one point 2 days ago i did that too - and all the coins were gone also, but after synching again, there they were/are   Smiley

the new .log is abt 83,000 lines already, here are the last few:

I may have the fix for our wallet issues

open the console in the debug window and type in "repairwallet"

{
"mismatched spent coins" : 165,
"amount affected by repair" : 30633369.60927600
}

It has brought back most of my coins and looks like the wallet maybe syncing again.

I like to thank the dev's for there quick response on helping with this issue Roll Eyes

Although the "repair wallet' restored my balance the wallet will still not sync. How is this coin going to do anything if you can't sync your wallet.

@groggin

my debug file looks the same, I can't imagine that there are only a few of us having this problem.
