With Bitcoin and so many alt coins, we see many hash algorithms, I'd like to see what is your opinions on which is the best algorithm?
- SHA-256
- SHA-1
- SHA-3
- Scrypt
- X11
-...

There is no best algorithm because all are sufficiently secure. Also, the fact that (for example) scrypt is slower that SHA-256 doesn't make it any better or worse.

You might say that one is "better" if it is more ASIC resistant, but that still depends if you think that ASICS are good or bad.

Best is completely subjective and opinionated. There is no best - choose one which suits your needs more appropriately than the others.

For sha-1, weaknesses have been found so I wouldn't pick it as the best.

You can pick anyone of the rest as the best, depending on your goals.

uhm no quarks algo is better than x11, it has randomness hashing besides multiple hashing, x11 doesn't have that

I agree unless you say about ASICs. Its just a matter of time if an asic can be developed.
