I dont get it (sorry for ignorance). Can I sell non digital things? Like on Ebay? Is there any mechanism, that will make business parties fulfill the "promise".
I mean If I sell a guitar, why cant I keep it? What about scammers?

That will be the start. Tons of releases are coming in May after the Asset Exchange.

Also, lots of whales have been buying chunks of 6-8 btc worth of NXT on BTER, with NXT having the highest volume on BTER still.

There is really only NXT and it's clones or EXO and Qora. Once people start using a NXT asset exchange in theory there is no advantage of one or the other. It's gonna be like choosing between phones cause the operating system is gonna be almost the same with NXT clones.
