Awesome art designed by Mushroomized
[/i]

We're having a small bitcoin attention and awareness thing at London. There will be people in panda suits and other strange things too. We'll have some "less than appropriate for the weather" girls giving out leaflets from various Bitcoin companies (and bitcoin its self) and we'll be holding signs and those not in strange animal costumes will be wearing Bitcoin t-shirts.

Get involved! If you live in England, say so- is it possible for you to come?

Information -
Date: 27/03/12
Time: 1PM
Where: Still being debated(In London)

Buy a bitcoin london t-shirt!

Don't live in England but don't want to / can't come? Support the event for Bitcoins growth by sending a donation!
(The more we get, the more we can do, this is almost completely donation funded. (So if we don't get enough for t-shirts, we can't print and give out t-shirts, etc)

State your idea's in this thread or drop us a donation here -
1F6MCoBMwmfpT5fruvCUjirFEybhLe5c1C
0.1-0.5 - We love you<3
0.5-1.0 - We'll list your name here as an official supporter.
1.5-3.0 - You can request a photo with your business name or something else!
3.5-5.0 - If you come (or pay for delivery) we'll send you a bitcoin t-shirt and leaflet!
5.0-any - We'll send you a bitcoin t-shirt, photo's of the event and you'll get a thank you letter from myself!

I can't think of any more incentives, but help make this happen - participate or donate!

Supporters -
Myself. (Making signs + wearing panda suit)
Ahles - Photographer
Alecto - Pretty girl handing out flyers.
Inaba & EMC - Donated 5 BTC
Goat - Donated 2 BTC
Yankee - Donated 1 BTC
Mushroomized - Designed some awesome art for the project.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

So... you want 120 USD an hour to stand around holding a banner?  Seriously?

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

That sounds a little absurd.
I changed the prices to better suit what it is.

Idk man, I'm not expecting to be payed for an hour. It's a simple tiny payment to attract attention at a whim, I didn't expect people to buy, I thought it'd be great to just see more unusual things out there.

I dunno, $20 an hour doesn't seem terribly unreasonable.

If I had something to sell, I would pay you to hand out flyers in a panda suit.

If you were in a panda suit, and could upload some video of the event i would kick some coin in if you were promoting bitcoin.

It'd be pretty choppy video. (None of us have a decent camera) But we have our profisional photographer friend coming along, so HD photo's.

We'd happily have a mini bitcoin rally.

If we got donations we could probably lend out some fuzzy animal suits too. Tongue

This could be the start of a great idea!

Okay, i will send 2 BTC but i want a photo of the Panda and the pretty girl holding up a sign saying TyGrr.com and have the bitcoin symbol. You only need to show the sign for the photo as TyGrr.com is not even up yet, just want to use it later. If this gets bigger I might send a couple more coins.

thx

This will be done!

Thanks. Smiley

When are you doing this?  I'm in Central.  We really need to get some shop to accept bitcoin around here

SealsWithClubs poker room has  over 400 players online. Buy in from .01 to 60btc.      BTCSportsMatch lets you bet sports with vig free lines!  Best kept secret in bitcoin....          LocalBitcoins.com is very user-friendly now for bank transfers.  You don't have to live close to trade when in the same currency area.
Electrum client is awesome. Try it. And please stop sending bitcoins to sites run by security newbies, or don't complain when you lose everything.

The location is being debated right now, we want to achieve the following.

1) Be in an area where people might GENUINELY be interested. (Go in stores, hand out leaflets)
2) Not be 'moved along'
3) A place that is convenient to meet at.

Right now we need to sort out funding the event and we'll see what we can do.
